The Second MUCH Greater Exodus

E-mail Print

Jeremiah 16:14-15:
14 "Therefore behold, days are coming," declares יהוה, "when it will no longer be said, 'As יהוה lives, who brought up the sons of Israel out of the land of Egypt,'
15 but, 'As יהוה lives, who brought up the sons of Israel from the land of the north and from all the countries where He had banished them.' For I will restore them to their own land which I gave to their fathers."

Jeremiah 23:7-8:
7 "Therefore behold, the days are coming," declares יהוה, "when they will no longer say, 'As יהוה lives, who brought up the sons of Israel from the land of Egypt,'
8 but, 'As יהוה lives, who brought up and led back the descendants of the household of Israel from the north land and from all the countries where I had driven them.' Then they will live on their own soil."

The Greater Context of the Greater Exodus

Jeremiah 23:1-8 reads:
1 "Woe unto the shepherds that destroy and scatter the sheep of my pasture! saith יהוה.
2 Therefore thus saith יהוה, the Elohim of Israel, against the shepherds that feed my people: Ye have scattered my flock, and driven them away, and have not visited them; behold, I will visit upon you the evil of your doings, saith יהוה.
3 And I will gather the remnant of my flock out of all the countries whither I have driven them, and will bring them again to their folds; and they shall be fruitful and multiply.
4 And I will set up shepherds over them, who shall feed them; and they shall fear no more, nor be dismayed, neither shall any be lacking, saith יהוה.
5 Behold, the days come, saith יהוה, that I will raise unto David a righteous Branch, and he shall reign as king and deal wisely, and shall execute justice and righteousness in the land.
6 In his days Judah shall be saved, and Israel shall dwell safely; and this is his name whereby he shall be called: יהוה our righteousness.
7 Therefore, behold, the days come, saith יהוה, that they shall no more say, As יהוה liveth, who brought up the children of Israel out of the land of Egypt;
8 but, As יהוה liveth, who brought up and who led the seed of the House of Israel out of the north country, and from all the countries whither I had driven them. And they shall dwell in their own land."

Isaiah 11:11-13 reads:
11 And it shall be in that day that יהוה sets His hand again a second time to recover the remnant of His people who are left, from Ashshur and from Mitsrayim, from Pathros and from Kush, from Ěylam and from Shinʽar, from Ḥamath and from the islands of the sea.
12 And He shall raise a banner for the nations, and gather the outcasts of Yisra’ĕl, and assemble the dispersed of Yehuḏah from the four corners of the earth.
13 And the envy of Ephrayim shall turn aside, and the adversaries of Yehuḏah be cut off. Ephrayim shall not envy Yehuḏah, and Yehuḏah not trouble Ephrayim.

In this greater End-Time context, "Israel" and "Judah" are not synonymous. Israel/Joseph/Ephraim is one House. Judah/Jew-dah/Yehudah is another House. See Two House Theology (Reality) defined and defended for more details.
