Reasons the Vatican, Rome, NOR the Roman Catholic Church can be Mystery Babylon

There are a few critical reasons why Rome, the Vatican, or the Roman Catholic Church should not and cannot be equated with the Mystery Babylon of end-time prophecy. Granted, there are some traits that fit well, but there are many critical failures often overlooked.

Note: Ancient Babylon was not merely a religious city or religious system. It was a religious, AND economic, AND militaristic powerhouse that many surrounding nations feared. Many prophetic indicators point to the reality that end-time Mystery Babylon is the same, but in much greater magnitude.

1. The Vatican (RCC) is not a great consumer or importer that would cause all the merchants of the earth to mourn at her destruction (Revelation 18:3,11-13,17-19).
2. The Vatican (RCC) is not the international policeman or the "hammer of the whole world" (Jeremiah 50:23).
3. The Vatican (RCC) is primarily confined within one city, Rome. However, Babylon has a chief city and many cities (Jeremiah 50:32) ...just as the ancient Babylonian Empire had many cities.
4. What land treasures is the Vatican (RCC) abundant in? See Jeremiah 50:37, 51:13; Revelation 18:14,17.
5. The Vatican (RCC) is not known for devouring or raping other nations for their resources (Isaiah 14:8).
6. Is the Vatican (RCC) known for being a center of agriculture? See Jeremiah 50:16.
7. The Vatican (RCC) is not a significant host city for JEW-dah (Jews) and 10-Israelites (Jeremiah 50:1-20,25; 51:5-6,10,45; Isaiah 48:20; Revelation 18:4). There is a significantly better fit... elsewhere.
8. The Medes and an alliance of other Islamic nations (Isaiah 13:17-22; Jeremiah 51:11,27-28; Revelation 17:15-18) which will eventually make up the revived Beast empire, do not have as much of an axe to grind with the Vatican as they do with another entity which is often named in their angry rhetoric, namely America and the modern nation of Jew-dah.

I should note that just because I do not think the Vatican or Rome is THE end-time representation of the Great Whore, this does NOT mean I think the Vatican has no influential role within the religious system of the Great Whore. I in no way support or defend the Vatican or the RCC faith. Instead, I actually see it being intimately connected with the counterfeit White Horse or 1st Seal depicted in Revelation 6:1-2.
