Genesis 48:19 - "But his father refused and said, I know, my son, I know. He also becomes a people, and he also is great. And yet, his younger brother is greater than he, and his seed is to become the fullness of the nations."

The Mathematical and Statistical Evidence
- Human evolution: Pedigrees for all humanity (Nature) - "Simulations based on a model of human population history and geography find that an individual that is the genealogical ancestor of all living humans existed just a few thousand years ago."
- Human populations are tightly interwoven (Nature) - "Family tree shows our common ancestor lived just 3,500 years ago."
- Statisticians: Common Ancestor of All Humans Lived 5,000 Years Ago (FOXNews) - "You would have to go back in time only 2,000 to 5,000 years — and probably on the low side of that range — to find somebody who could count every person alive today as a descendant."
- Most Recent Common Ancestor of All Living Humans Surprisingly Recent (Yale News) - "These more realistic models estimate that the most recent common ancestor of mankind lived as recently as about 3,000 years ago, and the identical ancestors point was as recent as several thousand years ago."
Bible believing Christians largely have the perspective that all of the current human population (about 6.8 billion) descended from Noah and his three sons who lived about 4400 years ago. This seems to be a reality easily embraced by "faith" by many, but when the promise of Genesis 48:19 is considered (if it is ever considered or even read), there seems to be a mental barrier. Yet consider some of these points:
- Noah died about 2,000 years after Adam was created (i.e., year 1, about 6,000 years ago).
- Noah lived about 350 years after the Great Flood (Genesis 9:28).
- In less than 1,700 years, exponential population growth certainly occurred, creating a great multitude by the time of the Great Flood (where the vast majority perished).
- Abraham was born about 1,950 years after Adam was created. Abraham actually lived and very likely met Noah before Noah's death.
- The Great Flood of Noah's day took place about 4,400 years ago.
- Abraham lived about 4,000 years ago.
- Ephraim lived only 4 generations after Abraham, who lived during the life of Noah... as already noted.
- Ephraim lived about 3,700 years ago.
- Abraham was promised he would become the "Father of a multitude of nations" (Genesis 17:4).
- Ephraim (inheriting the birthright blessing of Abraham) was promised the "Fullness of the nations" (Genesis 48:19).
With all populations predating Noah being destroyed in the Flood… and with Abraham and Ephraim both living in the very early stages of the re-population of Earth, it should not be difficult (at least not for those who trust in the Scriptures) to see how both Genesis 17:4 and Genesis 48:19 have become a reality in the modern world (WITHOUT EVEN CONSIDERING THE ELEMENT OF DIVINE PROVIDENCE).
But why is it so difficult to grasp and accept?
Why is it easier to believe all Europeans and Asians descended from Japheth (or some other ancient person) and not Ephraim and/or Abraham?
Why is it easier to believe Ishmael and Esau fathered many nations of Arabs?
Is it mere blindness that Ephraim cannot see who he is?
Is there some religious or cultural stigma that keeps Ephraim’s mind from really considering and believing the promises of יהוה ?
Do the realities and questions seem too complex or too upsetting for mainstream Christian, Jewish, and Muslim worldviews?
What is it, Nations? What is it that keeps your eyes closed and your minds shut? Someone fathered you, but who? Exponential mathematics has proven that someone fathered you in the last 2 to 5 thousand years. Most everyone has a common ancestor within that timeframe, but why will you not consider the Abrahamic and Ephraimite promises?
Who are you ultimately going to believe and trust? The Darwinists? …who say your fathers were just a few ignorant cavemen, scratching out a meager existence on fish and berries? Or were your fathers the great men of old, who were full of wisdom and knowledge of יהוה ...who walked His righteous paths?
