Comment: Daniel 8:13-14

E-mail Print
My brethren: I normally would not write and offer my critique of another's work in eschatology; however, since you have invited my comments (as any good teacher may be prone to do for refinement purposes), I humbly submit something to you that the Lord showed me in my studies regarding the abomination of desolation. A careful read of Daniel 8:13-14 essentially asks the question, "For how long will we be without the sacrifices?" It is now my understanding that the 2300 morning and evening oblation sacrifices (1150 days) pertains to the last 3.5 years, not the first. The sacrifices will be banned by the man of sin during his reign ... and then the temple will be cleansed. The timing of this event lines up with the Hebrew calendar very near to Purim, the theme of which is ... that the plans of the enemy concerning Israel are exposed and made public to the entire world. Within 30 days, the image will also be set up, and shortly thereafter, the Passover when the exiles of Israel will start their journey in the greater exodus. Shortly thereafter, as I see it, the mark of the beast will be imposed. This is all shortly after the man of sin receives his 42 months to rule. We do not know precisely the time - or number of days - that the sacrifices will start back up. Certainly, it must be after Jerusalem regains Temple Mount control and sets up an altar and dedicates it. This process is anticipated to be near a future Hanukkah. Sometime shortly thereafter the sacrifices will resume. Frankly, we don't even know which year (1, 2, 3, or 4) of Daniel's 70th Week in which this will occur. So, it is not possible to read into the scriptures something that is not there. (I used to do that, myself.) But the Lord sharpened my vision and showed me that I need to cleave to every word from Scripture - not man's commentary. And so, you may wish to take a look at your Table 1c at 2010 - Tevet 3 for modification. I encourage you to even put my comments to the biblical test. For that will be the truth that will make us free. Bless you, my brethren. Your comments of my comments are most welcomed. Your brother in Yeshua ha Mashiach.
