When I think of the term 'great' as in great tribulation or great sign I think also of the river Euphrates which Yahweh did call 'great' in the Tanach. But in looking at the river today I don't see the greatness. The river is smaller than the Mississippi and the Amazon. so those two rivers are greater in size and the river Nile is greater in esteem even than the river euphrates since at one point in time it was considered a 'god'. (as dumb as that is). So I began to wonder what Yahweh meant when He said great. What I think He meant was that it was a very long river that, before Noah's flood, went halfway around the earth. At the time of the "great" flood whole continents were broken up. So it seems the river was submerged except for what we see today. In thinking of "great" as long, I begin to see the "great" tribulation as long as well. Ever since the Lord walked this earth there has been tribulation of the saints. So, although I do not deny the "great" tribulation as very intense here in the end of these "last two days" I do see it as a very long time, lasting almost two thousand years. Over this period of time we see the very word of Yahweh, His Holy Bible, persecuted by the roman Catholic church and we see the House of judah, both the righteous and the unrighteous, persecuted by un-godly people of all walks of life in all countries, but especially in Europe and England and the Islamic nations. we don't see the 'jews' being persecuted here, as a matter of government policy. Maybe there is racial hatred and anti-semitic voices in america, but the government by and large does not persecute them. The govt. has persecuted the native americans but not the jews. And now we, the Israelite people of the 10 tribes, are coming into our own awareness. The persecution of the saints of yahushua has been a long time now. And anyone can study the persecution by looking into the matter of "The church in Rome and the Bible". Following the history of the Bible will open up your eyes as to the woman who rides the beast and the millions of people that have been murdered over the centuries for the crime of 'owning a bible' and just reading it ourselves. What we do today so casually was for generations a crime for which whole cities were torched and mothers and their children were butchered. This is not my opinion, it is historical fact; it is truth.
So, with a very long tribulation coming to a close we are to expect a very intense period at the end. And we are at the end. My thinking is that no more than 2030 AD (ce to some, which just means 'common era') and it will all be over. We will be cleaning up the dead, if we haven't done so already, and those survivors still on earth will be living in tabernacles. We have a definite time frame to work with, so let's all of us work together with Hanok on his website here and see what we come up with. Let us all work together and let us allow the Lord to work through us to accomplish His perfect will in our lives. We belong to each other, we belong to Him.
