I would like to speak in reference to the house of Joseph. During the many years of the House of Israel being dominated by 'Ephrayim', the house of Joseph was treated badly. The 'house of Joseph' were the labor force of israel10tribes. Being treated badly may have included not being able to 'go to college', 'having no money for investments', having 'inflation' out run their 'wage increases',inheritance tax and property tax, direct head taxes, etc to keep them down. In effect, they were slaves to Ephrayim. Yahweh repays and so because of the sins of ephrayim, such as during the time when twelve tribes were in process of 'taking the land' the ephraimites disobeyed Yahweh several times, treating Joseph badly, and building two golden bull idols, one for Dan/Samaria and the temple there and the other to parade around the countryside to force the people to worship the 'god', they will have their name removed from the New Jerusalem. Ephraim loses his namesake and the title falls back to the father, Joseph. Dan loses his namesake as well for his part in the false god worship of the golden bull and that spot goes to Levi. Joseph was taken into captivity by association with Ephraim....they were guilty, but it was forced upon them. Nevertheless the law stands. Here in America, for instance, the House of Israel is aka 'Ephrayim'.....but soon it will be House of Joseph and ephrayim's name will be no more than just a footnote in history. It is good to think about all of this. When Messiah comes, He will mount the House of Judah as His battlemount and ride forth to save the House of Joseph. In this the name Joseph becomes synonymous for the House of Israel ten tribes. I think that is really cool and I am glad to see that the House of Joseph will be remembered for the decent people they have always been. Jealousy never fails to be oppresive, but the humble are exalted. Praise Yah.
