This may be true but also remember Jesus was not clothed or had minimal clothing when he died on the cross... he could be the image of that in this passage... personally i think that tatoos are okay for christians.... as long as they are not over the top, to many on the body or of a nature to offend others.... (ppl killing someone, curse words, etc...)
