Seventh Biblical MonthOn Sunday September 20, 2009 the new moon was sighted by observers across Israel. The moon was sighted:
*from Kefar Tavor by Chad and Barbara Peterson and by Dan and Yvonne Olivier at 18:42.
*from Beersheva by Yaron Laluz at 18:51.
*from Ramle by Avi Yefet and Mordechai Chayina at 19:00.
*from Tekoa by Bruce Brill and Paul Thompson at 19:01.On the previous evening (Saturday September 19, 2009) visibility was impossible from Israel.

awesome – I was out looking tonight, but being in the city its all houses, so you don’t get the right elevation
Might have been too low for us to see here in the UK anyway.
we saw it here – rural Australia – the minute we spotted it, the kookaburra’s all laughed loudly and in unison! Praise YHWH
We along with about 30 others spotted the new moon in Phoenix, AZ at about 6:40PM with shofars blasting and voices shouting Yom Teruah and Praise YHWH!!!! Ahhh, what a wonderful day!
