The following article is a technical response to many of the fears and predictions surrounding 21 Dec 2012. The authors is obviously skeptical, but he gives us many things to ponder.

The Mayans may indeed have been on to something, but one thing is for sure, if they were, we should start experiencing some confirmations in the not too distant future. My fear is that we put too much weight into the Mayan calendar and then use those speculations to reinforce and falsely confirm other speculated Last Day time-lines that would otherwise look very insignificant standing on their own.
Yeshua (Jesus) told His disciples what to look for. He did not mention Pole Shifts or galactic movements in His response. Although I find many of those things intriguing and spend much time researching them, I think we should place the warnings of Yeshua far above other speculations and calculations. Read Matthew 24-25.
