Will anything happen on December 21, 2012?
The following article is a technical response to many of the fears and predictions surrounding 21 Dec 2012. The authors is obviously skeptical, but he gives us many things to ponder.

The Mayans may indeed have been on to something, but one thing is for sure, if they were, we should start experiencing some confirmations in the not too distant future. My fear is that we put too much weight into the Mayan calendar and then use those speculations to reinforce and falsely confirm other speculated Last Day time-lines that would otherwise look very insignificant standing on their own.
Yeshua (Jesus) told His disciples what to look for. He did not mention Pole Shifts or galactic movements in His response. Although I find many of those things intriguing and spend much time researching them, I think we should place the warnings of Yeshua far above other speculations and calculations. Read Matthew 24-25.

all of the 2012 predictions are interesting but what does the bible say chec this out there are many ways i can explain this peopl wonder about that date when talking about bible prophecy but end up talking about the worlds look at it let me explain .the truth is everyone thinks something will happen but they cannot tell you wy now this leaves the door open to 2 thess. where it says the guy who will eventually be the antichrist will come out with a lie and all those who love not the truth will be so condemmed now rememmber you can be saved out of tribulation so this means you are stuck after the rapture thats why god send powerfull dilusion because the guy who would eventually be the antichrist tells the excuse for the rapture ok lost yet?the ufo croud said for some reason that they thout barak obama was going to anounce the existance of ufos arond 2012 well yhe times of the gentiles are fulfilled at the end of the 7 year tribulatin period and the jews got jerusalem in 1967 right? and a generation is about 51.5 years in between hte old and new test.ok so 1967 plus 51.5 comes out to 2018.5 right?so then subtract 7 years from that and that would be the time of the rapture o by the way if you think im crazy the un actually put a women in charge of talking to extra terestrials when they land on earth

according to the prophetic scripture, the king of confusion comes with all his host on tevet 10 to encircle jerusalem “round about”. this is of course what jesus was referring to “when you see jerusalem compassed with armies” which is the parousia of “that wicked” called “another jesus” by paul and his “other gospel and other spirit” (i.e. the spirit of the world, and that another jesus being the prince of the world, the devil). now, God triple-witnesses this date in scripture, a third time emphatic to ezekiel (24) tevet 10. so the false messiah (i.e. king of confusion, i.e. babel/babylon) will have his parousia on tevet 10. so before the parousia of christ in sept of 2015, there will be the parousia of “that wicked” with “all of his host” (i.e. the devil and his angels) on tevet 10 and this begins the apostacy, and the deception of the entire planet.
so there is going to be a parousia-deception on tevet 10 that involves myriad “angels of light” and which deceives the entire world (save a remnant) into believing a “new age” has come.
now, in the year 2012, tevet 10 is on dec 23 but since the precise time can’t be known due to the involvment of aligning the gregorian calendar with the lunar-based months of the levitical calendar, we would be more cautious to say, “between dec 21 and dec 24″ as corresponding to the future tevet 10 of 2012.
so there must occur this great deception on a tevet 10 prior to 2015; and i for one find it difficult to dismiss that 2012′s tevet 10 just happens to fall on the much-hyped mayan window dec 21-23.
if i were admiral ackbar, right about now is when i’d be exclaiming, “it’s a trap!” but i’m not admiral ackbar so, you decide. it seems incredibly likely to me.
