I don’t agree anymore on Turkey being the final beast empire / head of the Islamic caliphate. I lean on Assyrian / Damascus interpretation. But in any case I believe Turkey will very likely have even more power in the future.
My friend told me that a former prime minister of Finland, Mrs. Anneli Jäätteenmäki (who is famous of “Iraq leak” in 2003), has stated that if / when Turkey will get EU membership it will likely come the head of EU.
I think it is very interesting statement even if I don’t lean on Turkey being the final Beast empire. Turkey may very well become the head of EU and one of the kings (resisting powers) together with other kings (such as some powerful Western nations) against Assyrian led beast empire / Islamic caliphate.
I think the separating line between Syrian-Persian alliance and Turkey has been already drawn and we will not see those three in a same boat even if they all are Islamic nations. Not all Islamic nations are friends with each other…until Mahdi, the beast from the sea (Arabic people) comes. In that sense it is very interesting that the Arabic “seas” have been roaring since last Spring.
Besides of the coming of the Mahdi I don’t believe there will ever be 100% unity between the Islamic nations (Sunnis and Shi’ites). Some Islamic nations (such as Saudi-Arabia) may even resist Mahdi.
You may be right there. Of course, be mindful that some of what we hear in western media regards to Turkey standing up to Syria and Iran may simply be for display to get the other major NATO players off their back. Their entrance into the EU sphere is little more than a trojan horse, IMHO. =)
Of course Turkey’s EU membership will very likely be a trojan horse, but anyways not all Islamic nations are friends with each other. Sunnis and Shias are against each other. I believe at least some of Sunni and Shia nations will be against each other to the end besides of the revealing of Al-Mahdi. I believe there will be controversy within Muslim nations to the end besides of unity which he will bring to Islam (Dan. 11:40-45).
The Beast is the man of war to the end. He will enormous support, but many enemies as well. That’s the picture which I see from the Scriptures. I don’t believe every single Muslim would be with the Beast, but many of them will be against him when they will finally see that he baffles against every god and deity (including Allah?).
I believe that when Al-Mahdi reveals his real face the Islamic faith which he represents will “return” to it’s ancient roots (=”original” polytheistic form)…maybe even kind of an ancient Sumerian / Babylonian religion or something with the god of fortresses as his most high god (Dan. 11:36-39).
Quite interesting that the book of Daniel says this about the statue’s feet and 10 toes which Nebukadnessar saw in his dream:
“And whereas thou sawest the feet and toes, part of potters’ clay, and part of iron, the kingdom shall be divided; but there shall be in it of the strength of the iron, forasmuch as thou sawest the iron mixed with miry clay. And as the toes of the feet were part of iron, and part of clay, so the kingdom shall be partly strong, and partly broken. And whereas thou sawest iron mixed with miry clay, they shall mingle themselves with the seed of men: but they shall not cleave one to another, even as iron is not mixed with clay.” (Dan. 2:41-43)
Iron mingled with clay with seed of men, but not cleaving with each other=Shia and Sunni people getting married with each other, but not joining themselves together as a one Muslim people (“Ummah”), but being against each other?
