I keep running into this inconsistent logic. Can't ignore it anymore.
Some black-skinned Africans (who probably do have some variation of Ephraimite and/or Levite mixture in their ancestry) use the genetic evidence found in the black-skinned Lemba tribe as proof that most all or many Africans are the "original Hebrews"... by making the comparison to the Cohen Modal Haplotype (CMH) found in the Lemba population with the same haplotype found in the Ashkenazi Jewish population. Temple Institute Denies "Supriem Rockefeller" Links

(IsraelNN.com) In response to wide-spread reports that the Temple Institute of Jerusalem has linked up with "Supriem David Rockefeller" in a scheme to raise funds for the "rebuilding of the Third Temple," the Temple Institute has issued the following disclaimer:
"The Temple Institute strongly protests the use of its name and that of Rabbi Chaim Richman in a series of fraudulent press releases and advertising claims that are now circulating on the Internet.
According to the publisher's website (Genesis 2000 Press), Restoring Abrahamic Faith:
"... attempts to set forth in a clear and engaging style an exposition of the ancient Hebrew Faith as revealed in the Hebrew Bible, with a particular emphasis on Abraham, Moses, the Torah, and the Prophets. Restoring Abrahamic Faith offers a compelling proposal for the 21st century, namely a return to the “ancient paths” of the Hebrew faith with Abraham, the first Hebrew, as a prime model. As such it is foundational to the origins of Judaism, Christianity, and Islam, the three great Abrahamic Faiths that subsequently developed in different directions. Brief background: The author, James D. Tabor (Ph.D. 1981, University of Chicago), is Chair of the Dept of Religious Studies at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, where he has taught since 1989.
I knew Tabor's book was going to focus on Hebraic-roots and though I have much interest in that topic, my primary desire in reading it was driven more with curiosity in how he would approach the issue of the House of Joseph (the Lost 10 Tribes). You have to wait until the third major section of the book (titled "The Plan") before he really delves into the Two-House reality in earnest. Since David Horowitz (founder of United Israel World Union) was his mentor, I knew Tabor must have some profound things to say about 10-Israel... and I wasn't disappointed. A brief sample:
These promises of restoration are addressed to both the House of Israel ("the Lost Tribes") and the House of Judah ("the Jews"). One of the most neglected points in the Hebrew Prophets, even among Jews, but virtually unacknowledged among Gentiles/Christians, is their constant emphasis on the total restoration of ALL Israel--meaning all twelve Tribes. Ephraim/Joseph, who has seemingly been lost among the Gentiles, will make himself known to his brother Judah. The results of this reunion will astound the world and alter world history. pg.78
When we have the head of religious studies from a major university making such monumental remarks regarding 10-Israel (e.g., altering world history), the "One-Housers" and/or the oblivious schools of Christendom should be jarringly shoved into the light of reason in regards to Joseph... even if they are barricaded into their worldview with slabs and slabs of misinformation and tradition. In my experience, one of the main reasons Christian ministers will say the "LAW" isn't for Gentiles is because the "LAW wasn't given to Gentiles", but instead, it was given just to "the Jews" (in their "proper" exegetical minds). Hence, I believe much of Christiandom is close-minded toward the Two-House reality partially because they fear the far-reaching ramifications... in the realm of Lawlessness in particular. Exposing Joseph to them, is like rescuing an elderly person from the Matrix, the Red Pill is too traumatizing for them to swallow. Knowing this, maybe Tabor leaves the 10-Israel topic for later in the book. The first two sections of the book brings much compelling "scriptural" reasoning as to why the WAY of TORAH is good and was meant to be Light to all nations no matter if they have a Hebrew or Semitic heritage. The subject of 10-Israel could probably have been left out and the general message would be solid none-the-less. However, I'm thankful he included it and think the outline and flow of the book was very thoughtful and digestible... and think it would likely be so for most all readers.
My only disagreement with the book is Tabor's conclusion that Yeshua (Jesus) was not / is not the same Person as יהוה. If you read the book (and I hope you will) I would suggest reading my article: Is Yeshua (Jesus) the same Person as יהוה (YHVH)?. Tabor would claim many of the New Testament verses that paint Yeshua as Divine were inserted by later scribes in later generations, and he may turnout to be correct wholly or partially (if need be, I will be amiable to Yeshua's corrective voice when he returns). I'm very familiar with the textual criticism of Bart Ehrman and at least partially aware of how NT manuscripts were tweaked occasionally in order to support particular religious doctrines, yet I must refute Tabor's general proclamation that the "god-man" paradigm is entirely Hellenistic. In passages like Genesis 18-19, יהוה appeared in the form of a "god-man" to Abraham; and in Genesis 32, יהוה appeared to and wrestled with Jacob as a "god-man". Yeshua being and having the same mind of יהוה is not necessarily a Greek/Pagan innovation just because the Greeks frequently epitomized "god-man" type legends.
I hate to sound off on a negative note, especially since I agree with the majority of what Tabor writes. So please know... all in all, I greatly respect Tabor and enjoyed, quickly consumed, and highly recommend his book Restoring Abrahamic Faith. I truly do believe it would be a worthy and significant addition to anyone's library even if one doesn't agree with all his conclusions.

The World Without US, a documentary by Niall Ferguson (watch it here), will certainly give most everyone a greater appreciation for the role of the United States of America as a force for good in the world (especially as the "Hammer" or Global Policeman-Jeremiah 50:23). He gave a fairly even handed view of the world's perspective of the USA as it evolved over the last 100 years. Though it was not Ferguson's intended goal, he further convinced me that the USA is indeed "Mystery Babylon", or rather, Daughter Babylon (see Traits of End-Time Babylon). She has brought much good into the world, but also great wickedness. For the latter (i.e. moral liberalism), Ferguson seems to be innocently or willfully ignorant... for the promotion of democracy nor individual human liberties provoke the Muslim world to hate America. It is instead the "immoral liberties" that the USA pipes to the entire world for consumption which infuriates many Muslim fundamentalists.
Furthermore, Ferguson incompletely depicts the negative side of capitalism / corporatism beyond just America's Oil consumption (for that side of the story, I suggest the film "The Corporation"). It would have been more intellectually honest if he could have shown how much America's elite profited from WWI, WWII, and the industrial war machine that President Eisenhower cautiously predicted and feared (see some of his statements below). Quotes like the following would have certainly been helpful in depicting a more balanced view of the delicate nature of being the world's sole superpower and world policeman.
We now stand ten years past the midpoint of a century that has witnessed four major wars among great nations. Three of these involved our own country. Despite these holocausts America is today the strongest, the most influential and most productive nation in the world. Understandably proud of this pre-eminence, we yet realize that America's leadership and prestige depend, not merely upon our unmatched material progress, riches and military strength, but on how we use our power in the interests of world peace and human betterment.
Until the latest of our world conflicts, the United States had no armaments industry. American makers of plowshares could, with time and as required, make swords as well. But now we can no longer risk emergency improvisation of national defense; we have been compelled to create a permanent armaments industry of vast proportions. Added to this, three and a half million men and women are directly engaged in the defense establishment. We annually spend on military security more than the net income of all United States corporations.
This conjunction of an immense military establishment and a large arms industry is new in the American experience. The total influence -- economic, political, even spiritual -- is felt in every city, every State house, every office of the Federal government. We recognize the imperative need for this development. Yet we must not fail to comprehend its grave implications. Our toil, resources and livelihood are all involved; so is the very structure of our society.

Only an alert and knowledgeable citizenry can compel the proper meshing of the huge industrial and military machinery of defense with our peaceful methods and goals, so that security and liberty may prosper together. - Public Papers of the Presidents, Dwight D. Maybe such statements could be added if there is ever a second edition of the film.

This is a follow-up post to Festival Observance: “a law forever throughout your generations in all your dwellings”? and is largely in response to the natural question it generates (see below).
"If Shabbat (Sabbath) is a 'Moed' like the other Moedim (Festivals/Appointments), then why do we endeavor to observe it if we are not to observe the others while in exile?"
I’ve often asked myself this and similar questions, especially since Hosea 2:11 includes Shabbat as one of the observances יהוה said He would stop. I wonder, did Pharaoh allow the Israelites to stop working on Shabbat? And did the Assyrian kings allow 10-Israel not to work on Shabbat? And did Nebuchadnezzar allow Judah not to work on Shabbat? And did Hitler allow Judah to guard the Shabbat? I ask myself these questions rhetorically, for I see Shabbat as something we were never guaranteed outside the United Kingdom of Israel and/or Judah. Of course, there have been times where exiled Jews and Ephraimites were free to keep Shabbat if they so wished, like this semi-brief interlude some of us enjoy now. On another note, it is important to remember that in the Diasporas of antiquity and in modern times, Shabbat was/is certainly not a “complete” rest, even on the days we try to guard it. Shabbat seems to be designed for the individual and the nation, but it can’t be fully experienced as “a people” unless the entire nation embraces it as a sign of covenant between that nation/people and the Master יהוה. Hence, enjoy it while and if you can!
It is true that Shabbat is included in Leviticus 23 as a "moed" (Strong's H4150), but it differs and is actually distinguished in the passage (verse 23:4) as not being a seasonal and pilgrimage moed, all of which requires an altar and offerings to be brought to the Place of the Great Name (יהוה). So… my current stance… is this: we should try to observe Shabbat in exile if we can (for our own benefit, which was the original purpose), but it is not a national commandment that we are currently “required” to observe. Look at the Exodus 31:14, where the punishment of not observing Shabbat is “to be cut off from your people”. Well, the last I looked, 10-Israel remains in a “not a people” state (Hosea 2:14-23 not yet fulfilled), so how is a person to be cut off from "a people" that does not even exist currently. For clarification, the “people” of Ephraim have not re-formed into a national identity YET, with a body of elders to enforce the actual punishment of non-observance. Having the national identity removed 2700 years ago was Ephraim's punishment, which had many ramifications (such as the stopping of moed observance). That was a punishment set into place for Ephraim which I think we have to complete. Even so, I do think 2008/2009 may be the end of that punishment, but I’m not completely certain when 10-Israel will re-form into a cohesive, united people IN THE LAND (as Hosea 2 and Ezekiel 37 depict). Many Messianic and non-Messianic Two-House teachers have varying views and estimations, but regardless, “true” freedom to observe the moedim (even Shabbat) is yet before us, in my view.
Thoughts on how Shabbat is different from the other Moedim
- Shabbat was observed by יהוה and His Righteous long before the Pilgrimage Moedim were given to the People of Israel for observance (Exodus 31:17).
- Shabbat does not require an altar or sacrificial system (for the individual) and there is no requirement for it to be observed (by the individual) at "THE" place of the Great Name Leviticus 23. However, the priests of "the Kingdom" did offer Shabbat sacrifices (Leviticus 24:8), but the common people were simply not required to journey to Jerusalem, but were actually told to stay in their place or town (Exodus 16:29) for Shabbat.
My view is contrary to that of many friends, family, and teachers who I greatly respect and honor. I simply try not to get too worked up about the details because I know… or well… I hope the basis for the argument is going to change and become a moot discussion very soon. As time has progressed, I've grown more and more frustrated with the practice of observing the Festivals of יהוה (YHVH) outside His prescribed way, namely the commandment of observance IN the Land of Israel AT the Place of His Great Name. A more exhaustive (and exhausting) criticism can be found in the following article: Should we celebrate the Festivals of יהוה any where but Jerusalem? Of course, many of the Festival gatherings outside the Land of Israel are done so as educational tools for Christians and/or Messianics (pointing to the Messianic significance in each), but as a remnant of the Christian world becomes more aware of their Ephraimite and Torah-based heritage, they are embracing a "religious" lifestyle which centers around celebratory Festival gatherings in various places (outside the Land) which have very little regard for Israel and Jerusalem. In many cases, individuals in numerous communities are openly or secretly criticized for not observing something they are NOT even commanded to observe in the first place (at least not IN all the "places" the Festivals are currently being observed).
And hence the most common justification for observing the Festivals in the Diaspora are verses that "seem" to indicate "all places" are acceptable for observance, such as Leviticus 23:21 and 31:
21: On this same day you shall make a proclamation as well; you are to have a holy convocation You shall do no laborious work. It is to be a perpetual statute in all your dwelling places throughout your generations.
31: You shall do no work at all. It is to be a perpetual statute throughout your generations in all your dwelling places.
Those verses are compelling until one has also considered verse 14 in the same passage:
14: Until this same day, until you have brought in the offering of your God, you shall eat neither bread nor roasted grain nor new growth. It is to be a perpetual statute throughout your generations in all your dwelling places.
Did you catch that? יהוה has written that we are to bring His offering to the Priests, but fast from various things until the offering is brought... and THIS also is to be done as a "perpetual statute throughout your generations in all your dwelling places".
This of course begs the question, did יהוה expect us to bring this offering to the Altar even after it had been destroyed as we linger in exile in "all our dwelling places"? Obviously, He didn't expect such because it would be impossible, just as gathering to observe the Festivals in exile are impossible because "THE" place of His Name is not with us in the Diaspora to gather to (some will argue that when "two or more gather in His Name, He is in our midst", but that is Christian-think that negates the plain Torah instruction, at least in regards to Festival observance). Further confirmation of this reality can be found in Hosea 2:11 where יהוה said He would bring an end to the Festivals as PUNISHMENT for our ancestors' crookedness. How did He accomplish this cessation? It is simple. He eventually removed Israel and Judah from the Land of His Altar and He removed the Altar.
For more insight regarding the importance of Jerusalem and the Festivals, consider the following quotes from the Temple Institute:
“A vivid eye-witness description of the vast numbers of pilgrims making their way to Jerusalem from the far-flung corners of the Jewish exile is recorded by Philo of Alexandria (circa 20 b.c.e. - 50 c.e.), a leader of the great Jewish community of Alexandria, Egypt towards the end of the Second Temple era. He writes: "Multitudes of people from a multitude of cities flow in an endless stream to the Holy Temple for each festival... from the east and west, from the north and south" (On Laws 1:96).”
"The overwhelming sense of joy and elation in Jerusalem itself knew no bounds; it permeated every street, every courtyard, every house... the homes were filled to capacity with family and guests from far and wide. It was an unparalleled feeling of belonging and brotherhood that encompassed all the participants and their great sentiment of freedom and redemption was the unsurpassed height of true religious experience. Jerusalem veritably rang out with song and the holy, intense celebration of life lived in religious freedom and Divine purpose. Indeed, a popular expression in the Talmud coined by the rabbis recalls that the very walls of Jerusalem shook and "the roofs were shattered" from the sounds of joy as the Passover sacrifice was eaten and songs of Hallel thanksgiving burst forth from every house and courtyard at midnight." - Passover, Temple Institute
Another question: Why would Jews living in remote places throng to Jerusalem for the Festivals in antiquity if they could justifiably observe them in regions and cities afar off from Jerusalem? I would suggest that such a practice would be unthinkable in their time (and should be in our time), largely because the Torah specifically instructs where the observances were to be held (see the main article for more details)
Instead, what should we do during Festival time?
Instead of gathering for Festivals in spiritual Babylon, we should sit, remember, and weep for Zion the way Psalm 137 depicts:
1 By the rivers of Babylon we sat and wept
when we remembered Zion.
2 There on the poplars
we hung our harps,
3 for there our captors asked us for songs,
our tormentors demanded songs of joy;
they said, "Sing us one of the songs of Zion!"
4 How can we sing the songs of יהוה
while in a foreign land?
5 If I forget you, O Jerusalem,
may my right hand forget its skill.
6 May my tongue cling to the roof of my mouth
if I do not remember you,
if I do not consider Jerusalem my highest joy.
We should not gather in festive celebration, making one city or another, one synagogue or another, one man's ministry or another, wealthy with our wallets while Jerusalem remains humbled by Islam, Catholicism, and Secular/Marxist Zionism (all of which despise יהוה and the very thought of His Altar). My brothers, we should not neglect or despise Zion in our thoughts and actions like they!
Pray for the shalom of Zion. May the nakedness of Sodom depart from her (Jeremiah 23:14). May Elijah come and restore all things (Malachi 4:1-6; Matthew 17:10-14). And may the City of Shalom (Yeru-Shalayim), actually become Yeru-Shalayim again! Mashiach come!
Recently, the president of Israel, Shimon Peres, said, "Peace is a little bit like marriage. You have to close your eyes and accept what is possible to accept." (pause for laughter and applause) "And the nation that is like a good mother telling a girl she could have a better boy, and a boy that he could have a better girl. So the mothers and the fathers themselves compromise." Arutz Sheva ; Haaretz.
His friendly, liberal, limp-noodle audience wasn't all who were laughing. Radical muslims have been laughing at this man for a long time. When you mistaken your sworn enemy for a marriage partner, "closing your eyes" does nothing but give your enemy an advantage in the effort to cause you to assume room temperature. Shimon Shimon, my my my... you are only provoking the clear-minded of Jew-dah to rage. You may be old with little to consider in your future, but the youth of Judah aren't interested in getting in bed with those who openly wish to kill them (see Palestinian Media Watch for more details).
This is NOT the only time Peres has suggested Israelis close their eyes to their enemies. Watch the documentary Farewell Israel to see how many of Israel's leaders have diplomatically and systematically weakened the Nation of Israel over the last 5 decades by giving away land for false-peace.

If you don't already know, a "One-Houser" is someone who denies that there remains a Two House/Two Kingdom reality of Israel in modern times. They view "the Jews" as exclusively representing all 12 tribes of Israel. Please Note: "Two-Housers" will one day be "One-Housers" also, but that transition will only take place after the-Anointed Son of David (Ha-Mashaikh ben Dawid) unites both Houses into One House, or One Stick as Ezekiel 37 prophesies He will do in the Last Days. We are in the Last Days, so that transition and this battle of world-views will be over SOON! Halleluyah!!

"The Julian calendar (instituted in 45 B.C.E. by Julius Caesar) is the reckoning of time that is utilized for astronomical calculations and for computing events in ancient history. NASA's calculated accuracy for the Julian calendar is measurably better than 1 millionth of a second. The calculations for the Astronomically and Agriculturally Corrected Biblical Hebrew Calendar for dates before 1582 are all calculated and expressed in the Julian mode. The Gregorian calendar was instituted in 1582 to rectify the miscalculation of leap years inherent in the Julian system. Pontifex Maximus Gregory XIII, added 10 days to the calendar at midnight, Thursday, October 4th which became Friday, October 15th. The seven-day week, and the seventh day Sabbath have continued uninterrupted from both the Julian and Hebrew reckoning - and it is highly probable that it has continued uninterrupted since creation week."
"It has been astronomically and mathematically verified that the Sabbath that Yahshua kept is the same day of the week that it is now. The astronomical proofs are precise to 1/1,000,000th of a second and the mathematical calculations are accurate to within 1/10,000,000th of a day. This irrefutable data constitutes prima facie evidence that the recently concocted "lunar-sabbath" is pure fiction. If Yahshua did not find it necessary to "renovate" the Sabbath when he was here, but meticulously guarded its sanctity, I think it is presumptuous and impertinent to assume that one knows more about the "correct" Sabbath than Yahshua did. I am not of the mind to straighten "the Lord of the Sabbath" out concerning this particular issue! Considering the multiple "fatal errors" in the various lunar-sabbath systems which attempt to invent a sabbath that coincides with the phases of the moon, this is, by far, the most fatal. I will stick with Yahshua on the 7th day Sabbath. Messianic believers can be absolutely confident that they are keeping the same Sabbath that the Creator keeps. Frivolous case dismissed!!!"

Many ask: "What does it matter how long Yeshua's ministry lasted?" The reason this matters is because there are numerous prophetic parallels between Yeshua's first coming (as the Suffering Servant) with His future coming as the Anointed Son of David, King of Israel. There are at least 3 levels to Daniel's 70 Week Prophecy and Yeshua's ministry chronologically falls into precisely that, 70 Weeks.
The following quotes taken from The Greatest Story NEVER Told! The Jonah Code and the Seventy Weeks Prophecy of Daniel by Michael Rood.
"From when Yahshua was baptized in water, into the Spring, the Summer, and all the way around to the Fall, showing you week by week exactly where Yahshua was with no lapse in time at all. Then we find out there is a miracle that takes place in every one of the Gospels, the miracle of the feeding of the five thousand. It takes place two weeks and three days before the Feast of Tabernacles (in everyone of the Gospels). However, in some of the ancient Greek texts, 8 Greek words were added in: "and Passover, Feast of the Jews was nigh". And what that did was artificially expand the length of Yeshua's ministry. They added, literally, 6 and a half months of absolutely blank canvas into the Gospel record."
There are many places in our English Bible translations where Yeshua is falsely depicted as being anti-Torah (no doubt He was anti-Takkanot), but it is rare that entire sentences are added into the text like in the case of John 6:4 for such purposes. Rood continues:

Rood then describes how this falsified Passover is followed up with five and half months of more blank canvas until we come all the way back around to the Festival of Tabernacles (Sukkot).

The other year which is typically used to artificially expand Yeshua's ministry is determined by reckoning John 5:1 with yet another Passover, when it is actually the Festival of Shavout (Pentecost). Adding these two extra Passovers into the Ministry equation is the reason modern teachers insist Yeshua ministered for 3 and a half years before His ascension back to the Father. When you take these two non-Passovers out of the equation, His ministry beautifully shrinks back down to 70 Weeks (490 days). Not long ago I was doing some Google keyword research and came upon an article claiming that the Palestinians are the best modern representation of the ancient Northern Kingdom-House of Joseph, otherwise known as the Lost Ten Tribes of Israel. Perplexed at the author's ignorance of the historical account and the prophecies regarding the 10-Tribe return, I emailed him asking a couple quick questions which later became a much more lengthy dialog. Some may find it interesting. I realize the author has not and likely will not truly consider my critique of his evidence, but hopefully others may. Not wanting my time spent to be completely wasted, our correspondence is laid out below for others to read from start to finish (I've removed my and his email addresses for privacy reasons). The prophecy of Ephraim becoming a company of nations is contingent on obedience (Genesis 48:15-20 RSV).
Jacob's blessing clearly states he and his fathers "walked" before God (v15). The Hebrew text concerning the angel reads, "may he bless." What would happen if Joseph's children didn't walk as Jacob? In verse 16, Jacob says, "let my name be perpetuated", and "let them grow into a multitude." If the blessing was guaranteed, Jacob would have said "my name will be perpetuated," and "they will grow into a multitude."
The actual blessing takes priority over verse 19, where Jacob says Ephraim will become a company of nations. Verse 19 was Jacob's explanation to Joseph why he placed his right hand on Ephraim. It probably reflected his true desire for Joseph's children, but it was not part of the blessing.
Note how Zechariah 10 makes no mention of Joseph's children being a company of nations. Nor does it say the house of Joseph would be great. It only states they will be numerous. This supports the idea that the blessing was contingent on obedience.
(If you have a concordance, just look up Ephraim. You'll find many unflattering prophecies concerning Ephraim: Isaiah 9:9,21 11:13 28:1,3 Jeremiah 31:20 Hosea 4:47 7:8,11 9:3,11. If the blessing in Genesis 48:15-20 was guaranteed, it would not fit any of these verses. The Bible would not make any sense.)
This is not to say Jacob's entire blessing came to nothing. In Genesis 49:26, we see that some aspects of what he said would come true.
The Palestinians currently have their own diaspora just like the Jews. Most of them are in the Middle East. Half of the kingdom of Jordan is Palestinian. (Palestine and Jordan used to be Transjordan.) There are sizeable communities/refugee camps in Egypt, Lebanon and Iraq. Zechariah 10:10 mentions these areas specifically. This prophecy only mentions the house of Joseph being numerous.
The prophecy in Zechariah is definite. Whether Ephraim and Manasseh are obedient or not does not change this prophecy. God will bring them back. This prophecy is still in the process of being fulfilled.

Yes indeed. The Prophets were unflattering to the House of Joseph… and deservedly so, but almost always, it is followed up with statements of compassion. The scroll of Hosea is one of the best examples of this. In the very first chapter, it clearly says they would be punished and scattered, but then in their exile they would become as numerous as the “sand of the sea”. Have you not read verses such as this? Where were the conditions there Sir Jerry?
The promise of multitudes was first given to Abraham, was it not? And was it conditional? And if it wasn’t conditional, then who are his promised multitudes? And what multitude could be his who walked perfectly in his way of righteousness? There isn’t any Jerry. House of Joseph has suffered miserably because of their evil, but yet they have multiplied not on their own account but on the account of Abraham’s righteousness.
Genesis 48:15-16 references the righteousness of Abraham and Isaac, thus the unconditional future promises to them that their seed would become a great multitude. You’re doing a lot of theological gymnastics to come upon your “conditional” conclusion. The promises to Abraham (Gen.35:11) and Isaac (Gen.22:17) were NOT contingent upon their seed being righteous. Ephraim simply inherited their unconditional promises. If Ephraim didn’t, then who did… since Abraham and Isaac had no conditions attached to their respective promises? Besides, why would Flavius Josephus reference the ten tribes of Israel in the 1st Century CE as being an immense multitude east of the Euphrates if they weren’t so?
Mildly sizable Palestinian populations in Jordan, Egypt, and Iraq do not fit with the ingathering prophecies … where they are regarded as being at the four corners of the earth (besides, why are you referencing so-called large populations in the Middle East when you already said the Ephraimite promise was “conditional”?).
I do not at all doubt the Palestinian people have Joseph, Judah, Ishmael, Canaan and who knows what else mixed in their gene pool. But to diminish the promise given to Ephraim is to unwittingly call YHVH, the Creator of the Universe, a liar. You would do well to reconsider that suggestion.

Did Ephraim really inherit Jacob's blessing? You can't assume he did just because it was Jacob's wish. Abraham was perfectly happy to have two sons until Sarah insisted on Isaac. God later confirmed her decision. Isaac was going to bless Esau (not Jacob), but Rebekah intervened. It was only much later that an angel confirmed Isaac's reluctant blessing of Jacob. Just as it was not up to Abraham or Isaac, so it was not up to Jacob. It was up to God's sovereign will. And in this case there is no evidence God confirmed Jacob's blessing of Ephraim.
You mention Josephus stating that Israel was numerous north east of the Euphrates. You're not the first. Others have proposed the theory of Israel moving north and on into Europe. Of course the Europeans colonized and gave birth to many nations throughout the world. Thus it was claimed that either Britain or the USA was Ephraim. The current peoples of Europe all came out of the Siberian plateau. This is the land of Gog and Magog. I don't think it wise to label anyone from this region as any part of Israel. Besides, Hosea 5:13, 7:11, 9:3, 11:5 and 11:11 all associate Ephraim with Assyria and Egypt in the Middle East. How do you explain these verses?
God did not promise Abraham that each generation of his descendants would be more numerous than the last. He promised an uncountable number of descendants as a whole. Abraham's family line was never going to end, and thus his descendants would be uncountable. God's promise did not guarantee that any of these generations would be extraordinarily numerous. Descendants numbering like the "sand of the sea" may not be as numerous as you think. Israel in King Solomon's time was already said to be like the "sand" of the sea (1 Kings 4:20, 29). At that time, Israel probably numbered no more than 10 million.
Deuteronomy 4:27, and Isaiah 10:22 clearly state there will not be a massive return of exiles. Revelation 7:4 raises the possibility only 144000 from all the tribes will be accepted by God at the end. How do you reconcile your ideas with this?
You claim God's promises to Abraham were unconditional. Isn't circumcision a condition (Genesis 7:10)? What do you think the word "covenant" means? How do you explain the entire book of Deuteronomy? Deuteronomy 28:62 and Isaiah 48:17 clearly give the "conditions" necessary for God to make Abraham's descendants like the "sand of the sea."
I'm afraid you're the one really out on a limb, stretching Abraham's righteousness like a magic charm to support a blessing to Ephraim that never took place. (Abraham's belief that God would do as He said, was "reckoned as righteous." This is very different from saying Abraham himself was righteous.) Good luck trying to reconcile your ideas to the verses above, and to all parts of the Bible.

Fundamentally, we aren't going to see eye to eye because you are arguing from the premise that the Palestinians are Israelites, while I'm arguing from the premise that Israel became the "fullness of the nations"(Genesis 48:19). Even so, I'd like to make an attempt to respond to your last email, particularly where you wish me "luck" in reconciling my ideas with all parts of the Bible:
1. The Almighty confirmed Ephraim inherited Jacob's promise of "multitudes" through the Prophet Hosea, Isaiah, and others.
Isaiah 54:3: "For you shall break forth to the right and to the left, and your seed inherit the nations, and make the deserted cities inhabited."
Hosea 1:10: "Yet the number of the children of Israel shall be as the sand of the sea, which is not measured nor counted. And it shall be in the place where it was said to them, 'You are not My people,' they shall be called, 'You are the sons of the living El.'"
2. You refer to Flavius Josephus as if he was some trivial historical source... which is interesting since most scholars who study the 1st century have high regards for what he recorded, being one of the most prominent sources of information from that period. He said Israel became a vast multitude in the same regions Assyria deported them to, yet you turn a blind-arrogant eye to what he said... even though it confirms what the Prophets said would come of Israel.
3. You assume the Europeans came out of the Siberian plateau based upon who knows what. Yet, genetics has confirmed they came to Europe via the Middle East and the Caucasus/Caspian (the region of the Medes to which the Assyrians deported Israel). Many of the Hebrew Prophets indicate Jacob would return from the north country (Zechariah 2:6) and from all the places YHVH scattered them (Isaiah 43:6; Jeremiah 31:8). Gog and Magog are also in the north country. This shouldn't be alarming since Genesis confirms Japheth would dwell in the tents of Shem (Genesis 9:27). Hosea being commanded to marry a woman named "Gomer" is also a picture of Israelites and Japhetic peoples mixing in some fashion.
4. You're right, the Most High "did not promise Abraham that each generation of his descendants would be more numerous than the last." At least not in those words. But He did promise to Abraham that he would be a "father of many nations" (Genesis 17:5)... albeit... the promise was given in the Hebrew language and the English translation is remarkably true to the original text. Yet, you can and likely will interpret that to fit your Palestinian premise. But I'm going to interpret it as this: Abraham is going to be a "father of many nations". 5. 10 million Israelites in King Solomon's day? I'm not sure where you're getting that number from, but let us assume you're approximately correct. What can Exponential Population Growth do with 10 million Israelites after 3,000 years? I can tell you one thing: the meager Palestinian population doesn't represent it!!!!! See my article here: Exponential Human Population Growth from Noah. You are either blind to the power of exponents or willfully ignorant of them. Also, your referencing 1Kings 4:20 (sands of the sea shore) doesn't diminish the Prophecy of Hosea... but instead, it actually lends even greater credibility to what Israel has become over the last 3000 years sense.
6. I have not said there will be massive return of the House of Joseph to the Land. I've only verified that they themselves have become a multitude just as the Torah and Prophets said they would. There is no doubt in my mind that only a remnant will return to the Land of Israel, namely because that is what the Prophets indicate (i.e. Jeremiah 31:7). And I suspect even that remnant is going to shock the socks off of all the "theological gymnasts" like yourself... because even a remnant of the House of Joseph is going to cause them to cry out for more room when they return to the Land of Israel.
Isaiah 49:20 "The children of whom you were bereaved will yet say in your ears, 'The place is too cramped for me; Make room for me that I may live here."
Note: The Palestinians don't need more room in Israel. They just want the Jews to be gone. They only crowd in to under-capacity cities in the Gaza. There is plenty of room yet in Egypt, Jordan, Syria, and Lebanon where the bulk of their populations dwell.
7. Assyria's capital was east of the Euphrates and east of the Euphrates is the location of most of the deportations. Yet, most of the Palestinians have no historical evidence of returning from Assyria. Maybe you're getting confused with modern nation of Syria which is west of the Euphrates.
8. Now lets look at your Hosea references:
Hosea 5:13 When Ephraim saw his sickness, and Judah saw his wound, then went Ephraim to the Assyrian, and sent to king Jareb: yet could he not heal you, nor cure you of your wound.
Ephraim was deported to Assyria. No one is arguing about that. But this reference is to their call for alliance and help. Not deportation yet.
Hosea 7:11 Ephraim also is like a silly dove without heart: they call to Egypt, they go to Assyria.
The Northern Kingdom called for the help of their old ally Egypt (Egypt and Phoenicia were allied with King David) when the King of Israel reneged on his promised financial tributes to the Assyrian king. As punishment, Assyria swiftly invaded and deported the first lot to "Assyria", hence Hosea says "they go to Assyria". It doesn't say they went to Egypt in deportation... ONLY that they called for their help to fight against Assyria. Egypt didn't nor could help at that stage.
Hosea 9:3 They shall not dwell in the LORD'S land; but Ephraim shall return to Egypt, and they shall eat unclean things in Assyria.
The word "Egypt" here is translated from the Hebrew "Mitrayim" meaning "tribulation"... which is what Israel experienced in Egypt on the first go round. The prophets indicate the next Exodus will be so great it will cause us to forget the first Exodus out of Egypt, meaning it will be much larger than your ridiculous Israelite attribution to the Palestinian people (Jeremiah 23:7-8).
Hosea 11:5 He shall not return into the land of Egypt, but the Assyrian shall be his king, because they refused to return.
Hosea 11:11 They shall tremble as a bird out of Egypt, and as a dove out of the land of Assyria: and I will place them in their houses, saith the LORD.
Verse 5 actually says Israel WON'T return to Egypt but instead to Assyria... which is the historical reality. Then verse 11 apparently contradicts verse 5 by saying Israel will come out of Egypt. This apparent contradiction is unraveled when considered with what I said earlier about "Mitrayim" connected to "Tribulation"... which makes even more sense when you consider verse eleven speaks of "trembling as a bird" out of Egypt... which is referencing "Jacob's Trouble" (Jeremiah 30:1-11) during the period Christians call "the Tribulation".
9. And regarding your tirade regarding the "promise of multitudes" being contingent or conditioned on Israel needing to keep the Torah covenant. When you consider the verses surrounding the promises of multitudes, you don't find any conditions connected to the promise. And the fact that Hosea (mainly chapter 1), first showing the Northern Kingdom being punished and exiled because of their breaking of the covenant, and yet then still receiving the binding and unconditional promise of: "Will be like the sand of the sea, Which cannot be measured or numbered"
Theological gymnastics of the most bizarre.
Below is how you'll likely hear this common question answered by mainstream "scholars" within Christianity and some Messianic Jewish circles:
Answer: There are many mysteries, legends, and traditions as to what happened to the 10 lost tribes of the Northern Kingdom. The truth is that the tribes were never lost. Most of the people of the Northern Kingdom were deported to ancient Assyria (2 Kings 17:6). Many of those who remained in the land re-united with Judah in the south (2 Chronicles 34:6-9). Assyria was then conquered by Babylon, who then went on to conquer and deport the two remaining tribes of the Southern Kingdom, Judah and Benjamin (2 Kings 25:21). When King Cyrus allows the Israelites to return to Israel (Ezra chapter 1), many from the northern ten tribes and southern two tribes returned to Israel. In the New Testament, the prophetess Anna (Luke 2:36) was from the tribe of Asher (one of the 10 supposed lost tribes). In Jesus’ day, Israel was a mix of those from the former Northern and Southern Kingdoms. In the end times, God will call out witnesses from each of the 12 tribes (Revelation 7:4-8).
The answer says King Cyrus of Persia allowed Israelites from all 12 tribes to return to the Land of Israel, yet the books of Ezra and Nehemiah only account for Judah, Benjamin, and Levi. Isn't that interesting? The answer says, "many from the northern ten tribes and southern two tribes returned to Israel". Really? And what proof are we given of this? The presence of "many" is proved by the presence of "one" Asherite (Luke 2:36). Now that is compelling!
So what are the biggest problems with the above answer?
First of all, why would Rabbi Akiva and Rabbi Eliezer be arguing about the return of the ten tribes of the House of Isarel as though it hadn't happened yet (Babylonian Talmud, Sanhedrin 110b), if those tribes had already returned 500 years earlier as the answer above suggests?
Secondly, the Jewish Historian, Flavius Josephus, outright says the ten tribes were still east of the Euphrates River in the first century CE. See his discourse regarding the ten tribe by clicking here.
Thirdly, the Prophets of the Hebrew Scripture foretell the descendants of Ephraim would become a "multitude of nations" or "the fullness of the nations" (Genesis 49:18). If Ephraim already rejoined Jewdah, where are the "multitude of nations"? Can the "Jews" claim such? Arabs can claim numerous nations, but why not the "Jews"? The reality is: no tribe within the Kingdom of Judah was ever promised "nations", but Ephraim was. To see the many promises from Scriptures, click here.
Fourthly, there are prophecies from the Hebrew Scriptures, which clearly indicate a "Latter Day" context, where the House of Israel and the House of Judah are reunited then, in the Last Days, NOT in antiquity. The two sticks of Ezekiel 37 is probably the best known and the most clear prophecy with an End Times context. If the two Kingdoms rejoined during the reign of King Cyrus, as the answer above suggests, then how does one make sense of Ezekiel?
The ten tribes may not be "lost", but they certainly are indiscernible to many, which was probably the ultimate plan of YHVH. To become "not a people" as Hosea prophesied, the Israelite people would need to become unknown (forgotten) to themselves and unknown (forgotten) to surrounding peoples.
