Vatican bans the use of the Divine Name in Catholic Churches

The following news articles is proof that the world is rapidly moving to a One World Religion with the Noahide Laws (as Jewish Talmudists interpret them) are enforced globally in order to unite peoples with one basic creed “generally” acceptable to most. Also see: BEWARE OF THE NOAHIDE LAWS and Ban on the Pronunciation of The-Name for more information on this alarming development.

Vatican bars use of `Yahweh’ in Catholic churches
Francis X. Rocca
VATICAN CITY (RNS) Catholics at worship should neither sing nor pronounce the name of God as “Yahweh,” the Vatican has said, citing the authority of both Jewish and Christian practice.

The instruction came in a June 29 letter to Catholic bishops conferences around the world from the Vatican’s top liturgical body, the Congregation for Divine Worship and the Sacraments, by an explicit “directive” of Pope Benedict XVI.

“In recent years the practice has crept in of pronouncing the God of Israel’s proper name,” the letter noted, referring to the four-consonant Hebrew “Tetragrammaton,” YHWH.

That name is commonly pronounced as “Yahweh,” though other versions include “Jaweh” and “Yehovah.” But such pronunciation violates long-standing Jewish tradition, the Vatican reminded bishops.

“As an expression of the infinite greatness and majesty of God, (the name) was held to be unpronounceable and hence was replaced during the reading of sacred Scripture by means of the use of an alternate name: `Adonai,’ which means `Lord,”‘ the Congregation said.

That practice continued with Christianity, the letter explained, recalling the “church’s tradition, from the beginning, that the sacred Tetragrammaton was never pronounced in the Christian context nor translated into any of the languages into which the Bible was translated.”

Invoking a Vatican document from 2001, the Congregation reminded bishops that the name “Yahweh” in Catholic worship should be replaced by the Latin “Dominus” (Lord) or a word “equivalent in meaning” in the local language.

The Vatican’s move will require changes in a number of hymns and prayers currently used in American churches, but not to the Mass itself, said the U.S. bishops’ top liturgical official.

Catholic News Service quoted an Aug. 8 letter from Bishop Arthur J. Serratelli of Paterson, N.J., chairman of the U.S. bishops’ Committee on Divine Worship, informing American prelates of the policy.

The Vatican’s instruction, Serratelli wrote, would serve as “an encouragement to show reverence for the name of God in daily life, emphasizing the power of language as an act of devotion and worship.”

The Lost 10 Tribes in Rabbinic Literature

If you’re a One-Houser (someone who doesn’t accept the Two-House reality), then put on your seat belt because the incoming article is going to rip the cover off of your One-House paradigm better than any other you’ve scrutinized. Will the Lost Tribes Return? An Analysis of the Lost Tribes in Rabbinic Literature by Dennis Jones.

A brief segment of the article…

Have you ever asked yourself, “Will the Lost Tribes return?” It is a question which should be taken seriously by every student of the Bible. And yet, unfortunately, it is a question that does not even arise in the minds of millions of individuals who claim to believe the Bible and who claim to follow the Biblical faith. It is not that the term, “Lost Tribes,” is unknown. On the contrary, in the English speaking world, in particular, it has become widely known, having been bandied about in various book titles, newspaper and magazine articles, and even championed by some popular and not so popular religious groups. The tragedy is, however, that the vast majority of those who are familiar with the concept of the “Lost Tribes of Israel” have not taken it the least bit seriously. Instead, they have summarily relegated the subject of the Lost Tribes to the status of legend, fable or fantasy, without so much as a cursory investigation of the possible truth of the matter in Biblical and historical sources.

Now, these are not ignorant people; in fact, just the opposite. These individuals have excelled in various fields, from science, to mathematics, to social sciences, to history, and even including religion. Many have a fair to above average knowledge in all of these disciplines. One must wonder why so many relatively learned individuals, particularly those associated with one of the major religions associated with the Bible—Catholicism, Protestantism, and Judaism—have remained ignorant of the facts concerning the Lost Tribes of Israel. Is it that the idea of Lost Tribes does not have a solid Biblical and historical foundation? Or is it that the existence of lost Israelites is theologically irrelevant? Does the possible existence of several hundred million descendants of Jacob, who are currently unaware of their identity, but who may in the near future return to the God of Israel, to His Torah/Law as the standard of living, and to a close relationship with the Jewish people, not have a significant bearing on current beliefs and future social and political developments? Indeed, it will become obvious in the very near future that those who have brushed aside the vital topic of the Lost Tribes of Israel, without even an investigation, have made a grave mistake.

Fortunately, the situation is rapidly changing. Read full article

“Are you one of the Joes?”

Recently, after sharing this website with a friend, she responded with this:

I noticed the “jewsandjoes”–I have to chuckle, since this last Sukkot in Israel, there were 15 with me at the Jaffa Gate. Several of our group were stopped by Orthodox Jews asking, “Are you one of the Joes?”
They know who we are…

I’m curious if others have experienced similar approaches by Judah. If so, please share them by leaving a comment below or from the link near the title.

Save an Israeli Child from Abortion

Below is a special appeal from Mike Evans for the children of Israel:

This week 500 innocent Israeli children will be murdered because of abortion; 26,000 precious Jewish lives will be lost in one year. These are children who could possibly grow up to be teachers, scientists, doctors and, one day, leaders of the nation.

In an average week in Israel, nine people are killed in roadside accidents; one Israeli soldier is murdered; 500 innocent babies are killed. The silence is deafening.

But there is something we can do today. There are several pro-life Jewish organizations in Israel that are saving babies. The economy of Israel has been devastated because of terrorism. Many women choosing to have abortions are doing so because of economic reasons.

Last year over 3,000 babies were saved by Israeli pro-life agencies. I have been told they can save twice that number next year, if they have the funds. Your gift today can help save the lives of these unborn children.

Your donation today will provide:

Satan has attempted throughout history to destroy Jewish lives. He tried in Pharaoh’s day, Esther’s day, and Daniel’s day. He even determined to kill all the babies in Jerusalem to prevent the Messiah from fulfilling His God-ordained destiny.

More than a million Russian Jews are living in Israel; many of them are living in poverty. It’s heart-breaking to know that a young Jewish girl could end the life of her child simply because she did not have the money to care for the baby. You and I can light a candle today rather than curse the darkness by making a contribution to save a life.

Mother Theresa and I prayed together for the children of Israel. While in Rome, she asked me to pray for her upcoming trip. She said, “I am going to the poorest country on earth – America; it suffers from the poverty of spirit.” When she arrived in America she spoke at a National Prayer Breakfast and cautioned the leaders of America “Don’t kill your children. If you don’t want them, give them to me.”

Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.” (Matthew 19:14)

The King will reply, “I tell you the truth, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of mine, you did for me.” (Matthew 25:40)

I am prayerfully asking you today to help save an unborn child by making a contribution.

Your ambassador,

Dr. Mike Evans

The mission of the Jerusalem Prayer Team is to guard, defend and protect the Jewish people and Eretz Israel until Israel is secure, and until the Redeemer comes to Zion. It is a non-denominational organization that receives no support from the Nation of Israel. You can learn more about the Jerusalem Prayer Team and its projects at http://jerusalemprayerteam.org.

Can Ephraim love Yehudah (Jew-dah), but dislike their Rabbinic system?

YES! Yes, they can!

Except, much of Ephraim (10-Israel) doesn’t know the difference between WRITTEN Torah and Rabbinic Halakha, so Ephraim has frequently and historically found themselves literally throwing “the baby out with the bath water”. How many times have Ephraimite nations exiled Judah from their countries? Martin Luther is a prime example of an Ephraimite who first reached out to the Jewish people, but increasingly became enraged by the Talmud and rabbinic resistance to the Messiah (if you read and compare his earlier writings with his later, you’ll notice the progression of anger).

On the flipside, Ephraim has largely not known who they are for roughly 2700 to 2000 years, but are now awakening to their identity, but ironically, Judah (the Jews) won’t allow Ephraim to enter modern Israel because Ephraim will largely not accept Judah’s Rabbinic System nor reject their Messiah. Even so… the Prophets say Ephraim will return. And all the more, it looks like Judah needs Ephraim to return. And it is fascinating that much of Protestant 10-Israel expresses the desire to fight with Judah against her enemies. Yet the enemies of Ephraim and Judah are largely found within… compounding the problems on both sides.

Seems we’re at a bit of an impasse. And interestingly, יהוה is brought the most honor and esteem when Jacob is at an impasse, because יהוה is the One to bring the solution and/or deliverance.

Where is Eliyahu, the Prophet of יהוה when you need him?
