Salvation and Genetics

When I bring up the “10 Lost Tribes of Israel” and/or the origin of nations, many Christians or Messianic Jews instinctively counter with questions regarding personal/individual “salvation”. I’m never quite certain on how to move pass those knee-jerk reactions to get to the thrust of my purpose of bringing awareness to the promised Israelite multitudes. Let me just state my personal view: “genetics” and “an individual’s salvation” are mutually exclusive!!!!!!!!!!!

When I write about genetics, I’m in no way attributing “salvation” or “superiority” on any particular ethnic group. One’s genes do not “save” his/her soul. And there is NO superior race!!!! On a DNA level, the human race is 99.9% indistinguishable [Ref. Deep Ancestry by Spencer Wells pg.40]. Population Geneticists are proving that reality in the laboratory. The genetic make-up of a Jew-hating Nazi is almost entirely identical to an Ethiopian Jew (African and Jewish, what an abomination!).

0.1% of the human genome accounts for all the physical variance in mankind. That’s right. In a very real sense, we are all family, however dysfunctional. We all have a common ancestor (There is no reliable evidence he lived 65,000 years ago. I personally believe he was Noah and he walked this earth not terribly long ago).

To further drive home the mutual exclusivity of genetics and salvation, let me add one more thing. I believe there will be a Great Judgment in the End, and there will be many people within the same ethnic group who will be found standing on opposite sides of that Judgment. Their DNA will not work against them or in favor for them. Just because you’re an Israelite doesn’t mean you’re issued a Get-out-of-hell-free card.

Purpose Explained
My interest in genetics and my theories about the Lost Ten Tribes of Israel are primarily and exclusively focused on confirming what the ancient prophets of YHVH foretold regarding Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, Joseph, and Ephraim. The promise of a “multitude of nations” was ultimately passed down to Ephraim (Genesis 48:19), hence my haplogroup theories tend to be more centered on his descendants.

But let me reiterate. Ephraim’s descendants are not more special or more superior to other peoples or the other Israelite tribes. I simply believe they are the recipients of a unique promise, which few historians have drawn attention to or even tried to identify. The Creator repeated the same promise numerous times in the Hebrew Scriptures and I refuse to think He did so with some flippant, frivolous, superficial, offhanded, insignificant reason.

I believe when we see how marvelously the Almighty accomplished His promise to Abraham, the Nations will be stunned. Many will marvel at how they fit into the promise. But all will know the Creator of the Universe is NO Liar.
