For those people, I strongly recommend waiting. Even if you do prove that you have Jewish Ancestry in the mainstream sense, the modern nation of Israel and the Talmudic system in control there has a very complex/complicated conversion process. DNA proof doesn't necessarily give you a get-in-the-land free card. I would like to take the test because I think I might be of Jewish ancestry and if I am, I will leave USA for Israel forthwith. However, I need to know there is a definitive method for accurate delineation of Jewish dna. This website seems to offer more confusion than clarity. There really isn't any definitive yDNA or mtDNA Haplogroup which proves you have Hebrew blood. Yet, every individual has so many ancestors from so many divergent lines, it is quite possible that 95% of the world population has at least one "Hebrew" ancestor.
