The following is the 2007 winning entry from an annual contest at Texas A&M University calling for the most appropriate definition of a contemporary term (still looking for credible source). This year’s term was: Political Correctness
The winner wrote:
Political Correctness is a doctrine, fostered by a delusional, illogical minority, and rabidly promoted by an unscrupulous mainstream media, which holds forth the proposition that it is entirely possible to pick up a turd by the clean end.
Many topics on this website are generally considered “non-PC” by those who are… well… Politically-Correct. Until it becomes illegal and this domain is shutdown, we’ll continue to add content regardless if it is found to be “PC” by the general public or not… including things which “the Establishments” consider “scientifically-incorrect” and/or “religiously-incorrect”. Consensus and “prevailing views” are never correct just because there is consensus. Truth is truth no matter who or how many slice it or pick it up. And more times than not… “truth” stinks when held to the nose of the masses.
Yet, Truth is no turd. Truth brings liberty. And liberty smells good!
