How do we know the Shmittah (Sabbath) and Yovel (Jubilee) Year Cycle?

The Babylonian captivity (605-536 B.C.) lasted seventy years because Israel violated 70 Sabbath years. (Leviticus 26:31-35; 2 Chronicles 36:21,22) God reckoned the apostacy of Judah and Israel to be 430 years. (Ezekiel 4:5,6) The number of Sabbath years in 430 years is 70! This proves mathematically a Jubilee cycle has to be a repetition of “seven sevens” which is 49 years. God established the annual feast of Pentecost as an annual “shadow” of the Jubilee Calendar. The 50th day always fell on the first day of the week. - Wake Up America Seminars

In his book, Know the Future p.96, Tim McHyde goes into great detail explaining why the Jubilee (Yovel) is a 49 year cycle, not a 50 year cycle. Basically, the 1st year of every 49 year cycle is also considered the 50th year (the Jubilee). An opposing and prevailing Talmudic view (also held by many End Time scholars) is that there is a 49th, 50th, and then a separate 1st year (starting the count anew). McHyde writes:

Identifying the historic Sabbath and Jubilee year cycles is not as hard as it at first sounds. As we covered above, every Sabbath year must be a multiple of seven years from any other, just as every Jubilee year must be a multiple of 49 years (not 50) from any other. So, if you have evidence for enough Sabbath or Jubilee years across history, you can easily validate them against each other and come to a harmony that points to what the true cycles are. p.98

Qadesh La Yahweh Press is one of the few groups of chronologists that go by the 49 year cycle (continuous cycle of 7 years). In other words, instead of adding 50 to 50 to 50 and so on… they add 49 to 49 to 49. What follows is one of their more important findings:

“…the book of Nehemiah places Ezra’s public reading of the Law during the Feast of Tabernacles, thereby signifying a sabbath year, in the seventh month of the twentieth Persian year of Arta-xerxes I, while Josephus, I Esdras, and the book of Ezra place it in his eighth Babylonian year. Nevertheless, both dates represent the same year, 456/455 B.C.E. The next year, 455/454 B.C.E., was a Jubilee. As we proceed with the evidence for subsequent sabbath years, it will become quite apparent that these above dates are correct and represent the original sabbath and Jubilee cycle.” -The Sabbath and Jubilee Cycle, p.168.

Connecting the start of Jesus/Yehoshua’s ministry to a Sabbath Year, McHyde writes:

…if 456/455 BCE was a Sabbath year, then 28/29 CE, some 69 Sabbath year cycles later, would indeed be a Sabbath year (-456 + 7 * 69 + 1 for no year zero). If Jesus proclaimed a Sabbath year to fulfill Isaiah 61 at the end of the 69th Week, then we can reasonably expect him to fulfill that prophecy fully in another Sabbath year at the end of the 70th Week. p.99

2009/2010 CE will be the next Sabbatical Year (according to this reckoning), with 2016, 2023, 2030, 2037, 2044, etc… following subsequently. Also, 2045/2046 CE will be the next known Jubilee Year based upon the findings of Yahweh.org and others (49 * 39 + 134 = 2045). 134 CE was found to have been a Jubilee Year, including several confirmed previous Jubilee years that reinforce the 134 CE dated event.

2030 Return of Yeshua (Jesus)? Comparing John 4:40,43 with Hosea 6:2

John 4:40,43:
40 Therefore when the Samaritans came to Him, they were asking Him to stay with them, and He stayed there two days.
43 And after the two days He left there and went to Galil.

Because the Arab/Muslim Alliance (prophesied in Psalm 83) doesn’t appear to be formed or forming yet (with serious Nuclear capabilities), Tim McHyde and others are beginning to think this soon to start 7 year Shmittah cycle may not be the cycle which ushers in the Great Tribulation and finally the return of Yehoshua (Jesus). And because of some insight from John 4:40,43 (admittedly speculative), it is thought that Yehoshua may not return and be accepted by Judah (the Jews) until the Shmittah cycle ending in the year 2030. This insight is deduced by adding 2,000 years (two days) from the time Yehoshua was resurrected and embraced by “the Gentiles” (about 29/30 CE).

It is intriguing that the Gospel of John references two days in such quick succession. Once would generally have been enough, but twice leads me to think that the Ruach (Spirit) was indeed conveying something John didn’t even understand himself. I do agree that John 4 could be telling us something significant, but not necessarily pointing to an exact 2,000 year period (however I admit it could be and ultimately may be). Even still, I wonder if the reference to two days could be an inexact reference similar to Hosea 6:2:

Hosea 6:2:
He will revive us after two days;
He will raise us up on the third day,
That we may live before Him.

I realize some Messianic and Christian theologians tend to see the above passage as a reference to Yehoshua’s death and resurrection, but Yehoshua was raised back to life “after” three days, not “in” the third day (Matthew 12:40). Besides, Hosea 6 is contextually referring to 10-Israel (Ephraim) being raised up (Ezekiel 37’s dry bones) after being cut-off for two-plus days. We (10-Israel/Goyim/Gentiles) have been cut-off for about 2700 years (see Timeline of Israel and Judah). So we are currently “in” the third day where Hosea indicated we would be “raised up”. There is no indication that it would be at the beginning, middle, or end of the third day.

And like-wise, John 4:43 indicates that “…AFTER the two days He left there and went to Galilee.” So sometime on the third day after the 6th hour (ref. John 4:6 to see when He arrived in Samaria) Yeshua left for Galil. It is possible he left at sun down (shortly after the 6th hour), but He may have waited until the morning of the third day to travel at first light… which would be more likely, but we simply don’t know. So I don’t think John 4:40,43 really implicates an “exact” two day (2,000 year) period before Yehoshua returns to Judah.

Like many others, I believe there could be a rapid escalation and major Nuclear war in the Middle East sometime between now and 2010, but much is still yet to be seen. The Great Tribulation could be upon us soon or it may be many Shmittah cycles in the future. Once Eliyahu (Elijah) appears on the seen, we will certainly know then how much time we have.

The Horizon Project - Bracing for Tomorrow (review)

According to The Horizon Project, “tomorrow” may be closer than much of the world will be willing to accept or survive.

The documentary in its entirety is quite compelling… and if you persevere through the host’s (Brent Miller) frequent whisperings, you too will be compelled… BUT compelled to do what is the question I’m left with. Maybe the future follow-up films will delve into answering that question, yet so far the production has painted itself as strictly secular and scientific-based, not leaning on the Judeo-Christian scriptures for the answer of “what to do” to escape and/or survive the upcoming geographical Pole Shift. The film hypothesizes that a similar pole shift has destroyed the Earth and much of the human population at least once in the past as our planet moved through what is called the Galactic Plane (image). To build a case for this, Miller cites evidence for past global catastrophes, such as ancient cities found under the seas, cosmic dust found in polar ice samples, ancient accounts of the sun moving backwards in the sky, and many missing ancient technologies that are unexplainable because of gaps in the historical record. Finally, in the end… Miller leaves us with the estimation that our solar system will again start to cross the plain of catastrophe sometime between 2008 and 2015.

What is most astounding to Hebraic prophecy scholars when they see Horizon’s new film is how 2008 and 2015 has already been found to be a seven year shmittah cycle by many (2009-2016 by others). No one is wanting to “set a date” or declare a “thus saith the LORD” regarding the start of the Great Tribulation or the Return of Messiah, but many are talking about the 2015-2016-2017 period, especially considering Mark Biltz’s finding that several major astronomical events coincide with Jewish (Hebrew) Feast days in 2015 (see video). Mark Biltz says, “You have the religious year beginning with the total solar eclipse on Adar 29/Nisan 1 (March 20, 2015); two weeks later, a total lunar eclipse on Passover (April 4, 2015); then the civil year beginning with the solar eclipse; followed two weeks later by another total blood-red moon on the Feast of Succoth — all in 2015.”

2008-2015 Pole Shift and Timing Details

Greetings: Attached is an astounding collection of information that you must know for your preparation, spiritually as well as naturally, regarding a polar shift. It gives specific timing from many sources, including secular scientific sources. This is spell-binding information that will drive into your spirit the reality that our Messiah is really coming and we are in the final seven-year cycle before He does.

More and more people are isolating the years 2008-2015–Torah-observant believers, Christians, NASA, secular physicists and other scientists, and the world leaders in general–as the years of a polar shift, of great tribulation, of Daniel’s 70th week, of the final seven years before Messiah comes, of a time that the world’s people might not survive. Please get this out to as many people as possible.

When I first started getting this information from Father in February 2007, I thought I was all alone–but now–I am getting the same information back in different forms from secular unbelievers as well as other believers who have done their homework in the Word. (If you do not have the triology on the Shmittah year prophecy, please ask for it) We’re in the countdown.

Physicists are putting cataclysmic events leading to a pole shift as early as 2009. But, as I wrote in that trilogy, the trumpet judgments of Revelation 8 were released Yom Kippur September 12, 2007, to be sounded in the near future. The “last trumpet” is the one we are waiting for (Revelation 11:15-19 with I Corinthians 15:51-59).

Yes, the Scriptures talk a lot about a polar shift and give descriptions that are staggeringly detailed. It is just before and/or at the return of Messiah. But, the events leading up to it match the Luke 21:25-26 scneario. We’ve been feeling the effects of it, but by 2009-2012 the effects of it will be very obvious to those that understand what’s going on, and to those who haven’t had a clue up until then.

As far as questions you should ask yourself, there are many. We are always to be aware of our state before Yahuweh and make daily corrections, if necessary, in repentance and change, for our eternal rewards and our eternal position is at stake.

Messiah warned of deception. He warned us about being lukewarm. He warned us about the catastrophic things that are beginning to come upon us now. He also warned us not to run here and there seeking a “word from God”.

I am very saddened that so many tell me about their going to this man’s meetings and that man’s meetings, paying to get into their meetings and buying their wares, and yet they don’t tell me what the Father has spoken to them personally from the Word. They’re too busy to sit with Him. I wonder why, then, do they want to spend eternity with Someone they don’t care to know now–except to use Him for a fire escape?

Here are a few questions you need to ask yourself if you’re running around to one meeting after another:
1) Is this person selling the truth? — Putting the Scripture on CDs and DVDs and then selling it? (This is against His Word)
2) Is this person charging to get into their meetings?
3) Is this person using the correct Names of our Father and His Messiah, if they know them of course, or are they using the pagan names to placate the audience. This compromise with His Person is usually part of an agenda to get more money and more meetings and more people buying their stuff? As Torah-observant Messianic people, we must make a complete break with the pagan world for II Corinthians 6:18-7:1 is very clear. We must be set-apart and separated unto Him, obedient and humbly “trembling at His Word” if we hope to survive.
4) Are they warning people of what is coming so as to bring reality and preparation to His remnant? Or are they giving nice speeches that do not change lives? We’re in a time of life and death issues. We don’t have time for note-taking in religious meetings that do nothing to shake us to the core and get us to act. “They that know their Elohim will be strong and do exploits” (Daniel 11:32).
Most of these big names in different circles compromise with the truth–they know the truth, but for their own agenda’s sake they stay away from any “contraversey”. They don’t want anyone throwing rocks at them–or rock their boat–so they appease their audience.
5) Would you trust them to help you in the face of death?

Many are very sincere and nice people. Some teach Hebrew roots. They most likely will inherit eternal life. But, the remnant that is set-apart doesn’t compromise, neither do they listen to others who compromise, neither do they waste their time running to meetings to hear people who are 1/2 in and 1/2 out of paganism (Christianity and Judaism).

I admonish you to carefully pray over II Corinthians 6:14-7:1 and Deuteronomy chapter 13. Mother Theresa got a Nobel prize. She ministered to the dying in Calcutta, India. But, she did not tell them about the Savior who said, “I am the way, the truth and the life, no one comes to the Father except through Me”. She let the Hindus die in their paganism with comfort that they would inherit eternal life.

This is the time of the Prophets–the time of either/or, the time of the plumb line. This is the time of Hosea 8:1 and Isaiah 58:1–His servants lifting up their voices like a great shofar telling the people to turn from their sin and return to Yahuweh in obedience to His covenant. If those you listen to are not doing this, then why listen to them? The visions and dreams of the false prophets are abounding, and those who do not know the Elohim of Israel personally, nor His nature, are falling for them…including people who keep the Torah.

While some very popular teachers are telling people truth about Hebrew roots, still, the spiritual “meat” is given to those who sit in His presence and listen to Him do the teaching (John 16:13; I John 2:27).

The prophets of old, before telling what He said, said things like “the word of Yahuweh came…” or “the voice of Yahuweh said…” Those who know Him hear from Him–”My sheep hear My voice, and they follow Me”, Messiah said. Prayer is mostly hearing, then going out and obeying. The greater part of our hearing should be from the Word, because with all the 40 ways He speaks, He does not deviate from His Word.

We need to “tighten ship” and obey the Messiah who said, “Be careful what you hear” and “Be careful how you hear”. (Mark 4:22-25) There are secrets He wants to tell His set-apart remnant that will save our lives–and if we’re off paying money to hear someone who may not be of the remnant, then we are going to lose out.

Today, look up these Scriptures and turn your heart towards knowing Him and knowing His nature and His ways.

Please study the Scriptures in this article and see how the pole shift is a reality. Can you imagine what will happen when our “ball” is rolled around and around?

Shmittah Yeah 2015/2016 (or 2016/2017): Second Coming of Messiah (Christ)?

People who quote the statement of Yeshua (Jesus) that “no man knows the day or hour” (of His coming) are wholesale ignorant of the nature of the Hebrew Feasts (Appointed Times/Moedim) and one Feast in particular. To understand Yeshua’s statement from Mark 13:32, we have to understand the Feast which the Torah calls “Yom Teruah”, meaning “Day of Blowing/Shouting/Trumpets”. Most Jews (minus the Karaites) call it “Rosh HaShanah”. It is the only Feast Day appearing at the beginning of a biblical month, where “no man knows the day or hour” because no man knows when the New Moon will be sighted to determine the month. Thus no one knows the exact day of the 7th Trumpet (Revelation 11:15). Yet we do know that it will be on a Feast of Trumpets (Yom Teruah) and many researchers are making various findings that point to a particular one.

“God wants us to look at the biblical calendar,” says Mark Biltz, pastor of El Shaddai Ministries in Bonney Lake, Wash. “The reason we need to be watching is [because] He will signal His appearance. But we have to know what to be watching as well. So we need to be watching the biblical holidays.”

First, what is a Shmittah (Shmita) year? Ancient Israel’s biblical-agricultural calendar was based upon seven year cycles. It is what the the 49/50 year Yovel (Jubilee) is based upon, where the compulsory return of all property to its original owners is required. There is some reason to believe that 2015-2016 (or 2016-2017) period will be a Shmittah year with major astronomical events appearing on Festival Days (i.e. Passover and Tabernacles). Tim McHide’s [Correction: Tim McHyde’s] recent book Know the Future connects a similar date for the 7th Trumpet (2016/2017), but only if next year’s Sabbath year (2009/2010) closely coincides with a prerequisite nuclear war in the Middle East.

[Update from Tim McHyde: “…I don’t see Psalm 83’s Arab-Muslim alliance anywhere near taking shape yet which I conclude has to happen before the tribulation. I also don’t see Iran anywhere near a nuclear arsenal given that even Israel’s latest aggressive estimate is they could have a single nuke in three years. Since this war has to happen at the latest in three years, we ought to see things happening now to directly bring it about, which we don’t. Michael Rood’s timeline calendar also emphasizes the period of 2009/2010 and 2016/2017 as a Shmittah cycle with the Last Trumpet speculated to occur on 6017 (2017).

Yedidah’s study on the Three Levels of Daniel 9 reveals date ranges that are very similar.

It would seem יהוה is confirming very similar dates by His Watchmen, Teachers, and Shepherds. These are fascinating times to live. I suppose we will know for sure once the hecklers are silenced… just as in the days of Noah.
