The “Lord of the Sabbath” has the Last Word on the “lunar sabbath”
The following quotes was taken from Michael Rood’s Astronomically and Agriculturally Corrected Biblical Hebrew Calendar (2008).
“The Julian calendar (instituted in 45 B.C.E. by Julius Caesar) is the reckoning of time that is utilized for astronomical calculations and for computing events in ancient history. NASA’s calculated accuracy for the Julian calendar is measurably better than 1 millionth of a second. The calculations for the Astronomically and Agriculturally Corrected Biblical Hebrew Calendar for dates before 1582 are all calculated and expressed in the Julian mode. The Gregorian calendar was instituted in 1582 to rectify the miscalculation of leap years inherent in the Julian system. Pontifex Maximus Gregory XIII, added 10 days to the calendar at midnight, Thursday, October 4th which became Friday, October 15th. The seven-day week, and the seventh day Sabbath have continued uninterrupted from both the Julian and Hebrew reckoning - and it is highly probable that it has continued uninterrupted since creation week.”
“It has been astronomically and mathematically verified that the Sabbath that Yahshua kept is the same day of the week that it is now. The astronomical proofs are precise to 1/1,000,000th of a second and the mathematical calculations are accurate to within 1/10,000,000th of a day. This irrefutable data constitutes prima facie evidence that the recently concocted “lunar-sabbath” is pure fiction. If Yahshua did not find it necessary to “renovate” the Sabbath when he was here, but meticulously guarded its sanctity, I think it is presumptuous and impertinent to assume that one knows more about the “correct” Sabbath than Yahshua did. I am not of the mind to straighten “the Lord of the Sabbath” out concerning this particular issue! Considering the multiple “fatal errors” in the various lunar-sabbath systems which attempt to invent a sabbath that coincides with the phases of the moon, this is, by far, the most fatal. I will stick with Yahshua on the 7th day Sabbath. Messianic believers can be absolutely confident that they are keeping the same Sabbath that the Creator keeps. Frivolous case dismissed!!!”

Ministry of Yeshua (Jesus) 3.5 years or 70 Weeks (490 days)?
Many ask: “What does it matter how long Yeshua’s ministry lasted?” The reason this matters is because there are numerous prophetic parallels between Yeshua’s first coming (as the Suffering Servant) with His future coming as the Anointed Son of David, King of Israel. There are at least 3 levels to Daniel’s 70 Week Prophecy and Yeshua’s ministry chronologically falls into precisely that, 70 Weeks.
The following quotes taken from The Greatest Story NEVER Told! The Jonah Code and the Seventy Weeks Prophecy of Daniel by Michael Rood.
“From when Yahshua was baptized in water, into the Spring, the Summer, and all the way around to the Fall, showing you week by week exactly where Yahshua was with no lapse in time at all. Then we find out there is a miracle that takes place in every one of the Gospels, the miracle of the feeding of the five thousand. It takes place two weeks and three days before the Feast of Tabernacles (in everyone of the Gospels). However, in some of the ancient Greek texts, 8 Greek words were added in: “and Passover, Feast of the Jews was nigh”. And what that did was artificially expand the length of Yeshua’s ministry. They added, literally, 6 and a half months of absolutely blank canvas into the Gospel record.”
There are many places in our English Bible translations where Yeshua is falsely depicted as being anti-Torah (no doubt He was anti-Takkanot), but it is rare that entire sentences are added into the text like in the case of John 6:4 for such purposes. Rood continues:
“Then we see what they [scribes] did add was a Passover that doesn’t exist. A Passover that Yahshua never goes up to. We see exactly what He is doing for the next two weeks. He never goes any where near Jerusalem, but He does feed five thousand people with leavened bread (which I now affectionately refer to as the Feast of Leavened Bread). Five days later, He feeds another four thousand people with Leavened Bread. He teaches a whole synagogue full of people who are disobedient to the Torah and they’re hanging out in the Galilee instead of being up at Jerusalem. For this whole two week period of time, He is doing nothing but violating the Torah, if those words were in the original text.”
Rood then describes how this falsified Passover is followed up with five and half months of more blank canvas until we come all the way back around to the Festival of Tabernacles (Sukkot).
“…Yahshua’s ministry, if it is a fulfillment of Daniel’s Prophecy, is going to be 70 weeks, exactly 490 days from the day He is baptized until the day He baptizes with the Holy Spirit, one of the layers of Daniel.”
“The early church fathers, the first and second centuries after the Gospels were written, Clement of Alexandria, being the foremost on this, said that Yahshua’s ministry was about one year in duration. Four other church fathers in the first two centuries afterwards said that His ministry was about a year in duration. And you know what all the rest of the church fathers said? Absolutely nothing. They didn’t dispute it!”
Quotes taken from The Greatest Story NEVER Told! The Jonah Code and the Seventy Weeks Prophecy of Daniel by Michael Rood.
The other year which is typically used to artificially expand Yeshua’s ministry is determined by reckoning John 5:1 with yet another Passover, when it is actually the Festival of Shavout (Pentecost). Adding these two extra Passovers into the Ministry equation is the reason modern teachers insist Yeshua ministered for 3 and a half years before His ascension back to the Father. When you take these two non-Passovers out of the equation, His ministry beautifully shrinks back down to 70 Weeks (490 days). To go into this in greater detail, get Rood’s teaching: 70 Week Ministry of the Messiah.

“Know the Future” by Tim McHyde (book review)
A couple months ago, I finally purchased and quickly read through Tim McHyde’s recent book: Know the Future. It wasn’t a quick read because of brevity or simplicity but instead because of the profoundly helpful and practical information it contained. I’ve heard many people report they had read through it in a single day because they simply “couldn’t put it down“.
Some important questions McHyde helped me answer (some of which I didn’t even know I should ask):
- Who is Mystery Babylon?
- When should we move to Israel to survive the 7 Trumpets of Revelation?
- What part will Elijah (Eliyahu) play in the time leading up to the Day of יהוה (Wrath)?
- Is the Jubilee (Yovel) cycle based upon 50 or 49 year increments?
- Is the Great Tribulation 7 or 3.5 years long?
- Why are the Hebraic-Roots, Messianic, Ephraimite, Two-House movements so easily splintered and divided (Mystery of Disunity)?
Some of those questions may not seem important to you, but they are extremely significant (in practical ways) in determining what we should look for as prerequisite events which lead up to Daniel’s 70th Week (Shavua), the 7 year period which contains the 3.5 year Great Tribulation, the arrival of Eliyahu and the Two Witnesses of Revelation, and the ultimate and final return of Messiah.

Daniel’s Timeline of the Last Days (using the Sabbath/Shmita Year Cycle)
On the main site, I’ve been piecing together a Timeline of the Last Days using several sources for important insight (see list below). The entire time-line is largely hinged upon past and future Sabbatical (Shmita/Shmittah) and Jubilee (Yovel/Yobel) Years and how they may and likely will closely correlate to Daniel’s 70th Week/Shavua (Daniel 9:24-27), the Great Tribulation, and the Second Coming of Messiah (Yeshua/Yehoshua).

How do we know the Shmittah (Sabbath) and Yovel (Jubilee) Year Cycle?
The Babylonian captivity (605-536 B.C.) lasted seventy years because Israel violated 70 Sabbath years. (Leviticus 26:31-35; 2 Chronicles 36:21,22) God reckoned the apostacy of Judah and Israel to be 430 years. (Ezekiel 4:5,6) The number of Sabbath years in 430 years is 70! This proves mathematically a Jubilee cycle has to be a repetition of “seven sevens” which is 49 years. God established the annual feast of Pentecost as an annual “shadow” of the Jubilee Calendar. The 50th day always fell on the first day of the week. - Wake Up America Seminars
In his book, Know the Future p.96, Tim McHyde goes into great detail explaining why the Jubilee (Yovel) is a 49 year cycle, not a 50 year cycle. Basically, the 1st year of every 49 year cycle is also considered the 50th year (the Jubilee). An opposing and prevailing Talmudic view (also held by many End Time scholars) is that there is a 49th, 50th, and then a separate 1st year (starting the count anew). McHyde writes:
Identifying the historic Sabbath and Jubilee year cycles is not as hard as it at first sounds. As we covered above, every Sabbath year must be a multiple of seven years from any other, just as every Jubilee year must be a multiple of 49 years (not 50) from any other. So, if you have evidence for enough Sabbath or Jubilee years across history, you can easily validate them against each other and come to a harmony that points to what the true cycles are. p.98
Qadesh La Yahweh Press is one of the few groups of chronologists that go by the 49 year cycle (continuous cycle of 7 years). In other words, instead of adding 50 to 50 to 50 and so on… they add 49 to 49 to 49. What follows is one of their more important findings:
“…the book of Nehemiah places Ezra’s public reading of the Law during the Feast of Tabernacles, thereby signifying a sabbath year, in the seventh month of the twentieth Persian year of Arta-xerxes I, while Josephus, I Esdras, and the book of Ezra place it in his eighth Babylonian year. Nevertheless, both dates represent the same year, 456/455 B.C.E. The next year, 455/454 B.C.E., was a Jubilee. As we proceed with the evidence for subsequent sabbath years, it will become quite apparent that these above dates are correct and represent the original sabbath and Jubilee cycle.” -The Sabbath and Jubilee Cycle, p.168.
Connecting the start of Jesus/Yehoshua’s ministry to a Sabbath Year, McHyde writes:
…if 456/455 BCE was a Sabbath year, then 28/29 CE, some 69 Sabbath year cycles later, would indeed be a Sabbath year (-456 + 7 * 69 + 1 for no year zero). If Jesus proclaimed a Sabbath year to fulfill Isaiah 61 at the end of the 69th Week, then we can reasonably expect him to fulfill that prophecy fully in another Sabbath year at the end of the 70th Week. p.99
2009/2010 CE will be the next Sabbatical Year (according to this reckoning), with 2016, 2023, 2030, 2037, 2044, etc… following subsequently. Also, 2045/2046 CE will be the next known Jubilee Year based upon the findings of Yahweh.org and others (49 * 39 + 134 = 2045). 134 CE was found to have been a Jubilee Year, including several confirmed previous Jubilee years that reinforce the 134 CE dated event.
