Black Hebrews MORE original than Ashkenazi Jews?

I keep running into this inconsistent logic. Can’t ignore it anymore.

Some black-skinned Africans (who probably do have some variation of Ephraimite and/or Levite mixture in their ancestry) use the genetic evidence found in the black-skinned Lemba tribe as proof that most all Africans are the “original Hebrews”… by making the comparison to the Cohen Modal Haplotype (CMH) found in the Lemba population with the same haplotype found in the Ashkenazi Jewish population. The evidence regarding the Lemba is indeed intriguing…

BUT THEN… on the flipside… they start in on how the Ashkenazi Jews in the Land of Israel today are NOT the “real” Jews. They’ll usually quote Revelation 3:9 regarding those “who say they are Jews, but are not”. And typically they’ll bring in Arthur Koestler’s book The Thirteenth Tribe and use it as evidence that the Ashkenazi are really non-Israelites who descend from Khazarian converts. Yet, they seem to forget the fact that many Ashkenazi Jews also carry the Cohen Modal Haplotype. This logic is inconsistent. Do you see it?

If the Ashkenazi are fake, then the Lemba have nothing in the realm of genetics to support their claim.

The following YouTube video is a perfect example. The first few minutes is a cut from the History Channel’s “Digging for the Truth” documentary series where the evidence of the CMH in the Lemba is discussed. Then the points of inconsistency are spliced in…

And of course they use the testimony of European “white” people as self-incriminating further-proof that the European “white” man has conspired together to cover-up the real Hebrew identity of Africans. Now, I like a good conspiracy theory, but this one is registering as “lame” on my handy-dandy conspiracy odometer.

Personally, I believe there is only ONE race, the human race… and I absolutely hate talking or even THINKING in terms of the “white” race and the “black” race and the “yellow” race and the “red” race. Much of those categorizations originated in Darwinian thinking in the 1800’s… which is completely unfounded in science, but meshed well with racial-religious undertones found in Europe.

Genetic evidence is showing how interconnected the entire human race is. Black-hating white people and white-hating black people have nothing but ignorance and madness to support their skin-based self-identity and hatred.

Dark-skinned Israelites are going to have to get use to the idea that legitimate Israelites are also found in light-skinned populations… and vice versa… the British-Israelite crowd must come to accept that the ancient Israelites did NOT migrate ONLY to northwestern Europe, but they reside in brown-skinned India and red-skinned pre-colonial America and yellow-skinned Asia AND… you got it… black-skinned Africa. The Cohen Modal Haplotype is just one example of how little skin-color and facial structure has to do with underlying ancestral DNA.

Making all colors mad,
Hanok

P.S. “White” is also a color. To this day, I still do not understand why my Alabama ancestors called African people “colored”. And why are red-necks still considered “white” if their necks turn so red with sun exposure? Things to ponder I guess.

What lies have you (we) inherited?

For several weeks, I’ve been thinking of composing a list of the various lies and idols we have inherited from our fathers in the nations of our exile. Anyone care to help? Add your thoughts in the comment area below.

Jeremiah 16:19 “O’ YHWH, my strength and my stronghold, And my refuge in the day of distress, To You the nations will come From the ends of the earth and say, “Our fathers have inherited nothing but falsehood, worthless idols and things of no profit.”

Developing list of Lies we’ve inherited from our “religious” fathers:

Developing list of idols, futility, and things of no profit:

Note:  Some of the following things are not necessarily or inherently evil… it is when these things rule our lives or compete with our loyalty to the only One who really deserves it. And I think all of us struggle with some variety or subset of the following.

Many of my friends and family may not agree with all that I have attributed to the “lies” list. Feel free to express your disagreement in the comment area. I desire to be “right”, but I don’t idolize that condition. =)

If I don’t add your suggestion to the list, it only means I may not agree or I haven’t figured out how I want to add it yet.

Recovering from a myriad of lies and idolatries,

Nehemia Gordon: The Ass Speaks Out

Many flavors of Jews, Christians, and Messianics have been wondering or waiting for a more detailed dialog from Nehemia on the issue of his personal view of Yeshua / Jesus. Many of us have listened to Nehemia enough to already have a fairly good grasp of his perspective and approach to Yeshua and the NT (as a textual scholar), but even so… the following email (from Nehemia) is very insightful and entertaining for even those who thought they already understood him!

Nehemia may be a beast of burden, but he is certainly no Ass. He and few others have carried much of the weight of teaching Ephraim many important matters on Torah and even the Living Torah, Yeshua (even though he doesn’t see Yeshua as such necessarily).

Enjoy!

The Ass Speaks Out

“Ass – a long-eared, slow, patient, sure-footed domesticated mammal, Equus asinus, related to the horse, used chiefly as a beast of burden.” (Dictionary.com)

It’s been several months since the publication of my book “A Prayer to Our Father”, which I wrote together with Keith E. Johnson, a Christian pastor from North Carolina. This book explores the Hebrew origins of what is commonly known as the “Lord’s Prayer”. Many of my Jewish brothers and sisters have expressed great concern over the book. Some have even speculated that I have secretly converted to Christianity and am leading others into the Christian faith. Some of my Christian friends have joined in this speculation thinking that perhaps there is a “surprise ending” to the book in which I proclaim my faith in Jesus. On the flip side, some Messianics are spreading the false rumor that I allegedly hold secret meetings during my speaking tours in which I try to convince “believers” to abandon their faith. I hate to disappoint the rumormongers but none of these is true. I have not converted to Christianity nor do I attempt to convince anyone to change their faith. I suppose the reason for these false speculations is that some people have a hard time understanding why a Jew who does not believe in Jesus would write a book on his teachings unless he has a secret agenda. I thought I explained this rather well in my books but I guess not everyone reads my books. Or perhaps I am not as eloquent as I like to think. So I am writing this to try and set the record straight.

Let me start with my views on Jesus of Nazareth, or as he was known 2000 years ago, “Yeshua”. Over the past few years I have gained a great respect for his teachings, but I have not embraced the Christian faith nor have I become a “Messianic Jew.” I clearly state this in all of my presentations in order to avoid any possible confusion. I am, as I have been for over twenty years, a Karaite Jew, which means I believe the Tanakh (“Old Testament”) to be the perfect word of God. As a Karaite Jew, I await the coming of an anointed King (in Hebrew: “Messiah”) who will be a direct descendant of King David. I have no idea what his name will be and therefore I do not rule out the possibility that his name will be “Yeshua”. Many Jews, and Karaites in particular, may vehemently disagree with me on this last point. All I can say is that when the anointed descendant of David reigns as a flesh and blood king over Israel, as promised in the Scriptures, we will all know his name as an accomplished fact.

So why do I have what one of my sisters – a devout Orthodox Jew – refers to as an “unhealthy interest in Jesus”? It started many years ago, when I came out of Rabbinical Judaism and began researching all of the world’s religions. I was particularly interested in ancient Judaism in all of its forms and this naturally included the teaching ministry of Yeshua of Nazareth. My interest in this subject is not as unusual as my sister might think. Over the past century, Jewish scholars have increasingly carried out research to uncover the Hebrew background and context of the New Testament. One of the greatest of these scholars was Professor David Flusser, himself an Orthodox Jew, who taught at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. I was trained in the study of ancient Jewish texts at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem where I earned my Masters Degree in Biblical Studies and I view my own research on the teachings of Yeshua as part of this scholarly tradition.

To give this research some context, a number of years ago I was privileged to have worked with the Dead Sea Scrolls, which were written by an ancient Jewish movement called the Essenes. While I believe the Dead Sea Scrolls contain great value, at no time did I ever become an Essene. Furthermore, as a textual scholar researching the scrolls it was not my role to convince anyone whether or not to believe in Essene Judaism. My role as a scholar was to attempt to understand what these ancient documents meant in their original linguistic, historical, and cultural context. This is how I see my role in exploring the Hebrew background of the New Testament. It is not my role as a textual scholar to lead anyone into the Christian faith. Nor is it my role to lead anyone out of the Christian faith. These are issues of personal faith and belief that are beyond the scope of my research. My role as a textual scholar is to understand what Yeshua taught in the linguistic, historical, and cultural context in which he preached. For those who believe in Yeshua I would think this should be of great importance. But it should also be important for non-Christians, as Yeshua was indisputably a pivotal figure in world history who profoundly influenced the development of Western civilization.

In addition to my interest in all forms of ancient Judaism, there is another reason I think it is important for me to share the results of this research, especially with Christians. It relates to an experience I had many years ago in Jerusalem. Living in the Holy City, I meet all kinds of interesting people. One such gentleman was an American tourist who described himself as a “Messianic Gentile”. I had heard of “Messianic Jews” before but did not know what a Messianic Gentile was. He explained that he believed Yeshua to be the Messiah and wanted to live as Yeshua lived. He told me that as a Jew, Yeshua refrained from eating pork and went to the synagogue on the Sabbath. Although he had no Jewish ancestry that he knew of, he too wanted to live as Yeshua had lived, refraining from pork and going to a synagogue on the Sabbath. At the time I had never met anyone quite like this and was very intrigued. We ended up spending many long hours discussing our respective beliefs and practices. One day he was telling me about the prayers in his congregation back in America and he proudly announced that in his Messianic synagogue they recited the Amidah. When I heard this I was shocked because I knew something he obviously did not know. The Amidah is the standard prayer of Rabbinical Judaism and I grew up as an Orthodox Jew praying this prayer three times a day. The Amidah is also known as the “Eighteen Benedictions” but today actually contains 19 benedictions. The 19th benediction, which my friend obviously did not know about, is called the Birkat HaMinim which means “the Blessing of the Heretics”. Despite its name, it is actually a curse of the so-called “heretics”. Historical sources, most notably the Talmud, inform us that this 19th benediction was added to the Amidah around the year 90 CE in order to prevent those Jews who accepted Yeshua as the Messiah from participating in synagogue services. At the time, the Rabbis did not have the authority to prevent Yeshua’s Jewish followers from attending the synagogues but they reasoned these people would stop coming if a public curse was proclaimed upon them during every prayer service. When this “Messianic Gentile” told me his congregation recited the Amidah during their services I thought surely he meant the Amidah without the Birkat HaMinim. So I asked him to show me his Messianic prayer book and I quickly flipped to the section containing the Amidah. To my horror I found that it indeed contained the Birkat HaMinim. It had been translated in a very clever way to obscure its meaning, but there it was in black and white in both Hebrew and English. I was heartbroken at the thought of an entire group of devout people, who were searching in their own way for Scriptural truth, proclaiming a public curse upon themselves because they did not understand the historical context of their own faith. They wanted to live as Yeshua lived but ended up reciting a prayer created to curse those who believed in Yeshua. I realized then and there that the Almighty had blessed me with an understanding of ancient languages and ancient Jewish texts and I was morally obligated to share that information with anyone who needed it, even if I disagreed with them on important matters of faith.

As a Jew, it is not all that strange for me to interact with people that I disagree with on matters of faith. This is part of the pluralism inherent in Jewish culture in general. There is an old saying that “if you ask two Jews you get three opinions.” This witticism is based on a fundamental principle in Rabbinical Judaism that there are seventy true meanings to every single word in Scripture. The result of this doctrine is that multiple opinions can be tolerated, even when they are diametrically opposed. This approach has imbued Jews with a relatively pluralistic attitude towards matters of belief, especially when these beliefs do not result in any practical expression of ritual observance. This is in sharp contrast to the Christian tradition of breaking fellowship, and indeed in earlier centuries of burning people at the stake, over the subtlest of doctrinal nuances.

As a Karaite, I do not agree with the Rabbinical principle that there are seventy true meanings to everything in Scripture. I believe there is only one true interpretation. However, with the Temple in ruins and the People of Israel in a state of Exile we do not necessarily know what that one true interpretation is. This necessitates a pragmatic pluralism which in some ways is even more tolerant than Rabbinical Judaism. Karaite Jews believe we must do our best to discover the truth but also humble ourselves before God and admit that we can never know for sure “until a priest with Urim and Thummim should appear” (Ezra 2:63). This humility means not judging our brothers for disagreeing on matters of faith, and even on matters of ritual observance, as long as they do their best to discover the Scriptural truth. I am not saying every Jew, nor even every Karaite, always lives up to these ideals but they are nevertheless values deeply rooted in Jewish culture.

Considering that there are, according to the World Christian Encyclopedia, over 33,000 denominations, I would have thought Christians to be even more tolerant to differences of faith and practice than Jews. To be sure, this may be true for many Christians. However, I did not realize how alien this pluralistic approach was to some Christians until last year when I was on a speaking tour in the USA. After one of my presentations a man walked up to me and thanked me for the information I had shared. He told me that he had been told by his congregation leader not come to my presentation. The congregation leader had warned him that as someone who does not believe in Jesus I was not “anointed” to speak the truth. The man objected to his congregation leader: “If God could use Balaam’s ass to speak the truth then surely he could use Nehemia”.

I suppose most Jews would be deeply offended at being compared to a female donkey but I was more disturbed by the arrogance of this man’s congregation leader. I was raised with the tradition of the Rabbis who taught: “Who is a wise man? He who learns from every man.” (Ethics of the Fathers 4:1). Karaite Jews wholeheartedly embrace this principle, often quoting the words of the 12th century Rabbinical sage Maimonides (Rambam): “Accept the truth from whoever speaks it.” When Maimonides said this he was referring to the mathematical and astronomical knowledge he learned from ancient Greeks sources. He did not dismiss or ignore this knowledge even though it came from pagans because the knowledge was true in its own right. It is important to note that this was not simply “secular” knowledge to Maimonides; it had practical application to the observance of certain biblical commandments.

The original disciples of Yeshua and their heirs understood that truth had value regardless of its source. Evidence of this can be found in the Book of Acts, which quotes the words Gamaliel, a leading Pharisee of the 1st century. Although Gamaliel was not a believer in Yeshua, the Book of Acts considered what he said to be valuable and true in its own right. The notion that a Christian today would categorically deem what Jews have to say as worthless and untrustworthy because of our different beliefs is the zenith of arrogance. I am reminded of the words of Paul of Tarsus (admittedly a Jew) who warned the Gentiles:

“But if some of the branches were broken off, and you, a wild olive shoot, were grafted in their place to share the rich root of the olive tree, do not boast over the branches. If you do boast, remember that it is not you that support the root, but the root that supports you.” Romans 11:17-18

I suspect Paul was talking about something that was already happening in his own time: Gentiles were embracing the faith in Yeshua and boasting that they were better than the Jews who did not share their new belief, even though these Jews were the “root” of their faith.

As if this arrogance were not bad enough, shortly after being compared to Balaam’s ass, the specter of anti-Semitism reared its ugly head. I had been invited to speak at a Christian conference when the organizer received a dire warning from a local Christian pastor. The pastor proclaimed that as a “non-believing Jew” I was operating under the control of the “spirit of Antichrist”. When I heard this I thought the pastor meant it metaphorically, but it turns out he meant there was a literal demonic spirit that was influencing my every move. He explained that it was nothing against me personally but all “non-believing Jews” are under the spirit of Antichrist. Boasting against the root is one thing, but this amounts to cursing the root.

Some of my fellow Jews reading this are probably thinking: “So why bother, Nehemia! Let the goyim languish in their ignorance.” My answer is that there are countless Christians out there who want to understand their faith in its original historical, cultural, and linguistic context. Jesus of Nazareth was a Jew who spoke Hebrew and lived as a Jew among Jews. It just so happens that God has blessed me with a knowledge of ancient Judaism and ancient Hebrew and I feel compelled to share this information with those with those who need it, even if I disagree with them on important matters of faith. The Torah teaches us to love our neighbors as we love ourselves which means to treat others as we ourselves want to be treated. I know that if I lacked vital knowledge I would want someone who had this knowledge to share it with me. I must, therefore, share the knowledge I have with those who need it. I am not saying I know everything or that I have all the answers. But if God could use a donkey to speak to Balaam perhaps he is using me for some purpose that is beyond my comprehension. I pray that like Balaam’s ass this is a burden I can continue to bear.

Why International Bankers are successfully enslaving nations of 10-Israel

This will be a very short post. All it takes is one verse to help understand the answers to the “who” and “why” questions. The “how” has been employed by many different means.

Isaiah 42:24
Who gave Jacob for a spoil, and Israel to the robbers? Did not יהוה? He against whom we have sinned, and in whose ways they would not walk, neither were they obedient unto His Torah!

Banks, especially Central Banks, have been given uncanny and unimaginable powers around the globe over the last 100 years… to effectively spoil, rob, and enslave entire nations (the Federal Reserve of the U.S.A. is only one in a long list of notables).

If Yah ultimately gave the banking families this control, then only Yah can take it back. Exposing the “powers-that-be” is not going to change anything. Exposing our SIN and turning into the Way of Wisdom is the only action the Most High is going to consider in regards to stopping this long black train… which is coming to destroy much more than just our finances.

Jeremiah 30:11:
‘For I am with you,’ declares יהוה, ‘to save you. Though I make a complete end of all nations where I have scattered you, yet I do not make a complete end of you. But I shall reprove you in judgment, and by no means leave you unpunished.’

Who will compose the remnant of people who survive the train wreck?

VIDEO: Thematic Study of the Scriptures by Tony Robinson

This is a two hour long interview of Tony Robinson (Restoration of Torah Ministries) by God’s Learning Channel, recorded 12-21-2009. If your ISP bandwidth is slow, you may need to download the .asf file separately before playing. Source:  WayToZion.org

In the interview, Tony discusses many things, including:

Questions regarding Khazars, Ashkenazi Jews, the Rothschild family, and DNA

The following questions were recently asked of me regarding the Khazars, Ashkenazi Jews, and the Rothschild family.

  1. Yair Davidiy indicates that the Khazars were Israelites.  Is his research on the subject of the Khazars reliable?  I know he is well-respected in regards to two-house history.
  2. Is it possible that the Rothschilds hail from the Khazars and adopted the Hebrew faith more for political reasons than belief similar to Constantine’s adoption of RCC.
  3. Is Ashkanazi Jew synonymous with the Khazar?

My less-than-perfect answers:

1.) I’m not certain how reliable Yair Davidiy’s Khazar ideas are, although I respect and agree with many of his views on Two-House history. If memory serves me well, I do believe he thinks of the Khazars as being more mixed with Ephraimites than with Japhethites… which I would tend to agree with… but Jew-dah, Ephraim, and Japheth… and possibly others… were mixed and intermarried in the Caucasus region where the Khazarian Kingdom was later formed. Even today, that general area of the world is quite varied genetically. It is difficult to really know for certain what genetic population made up the Khazars (because we don’t have a modern “living” Khazar to test), but I do have a suspicion that y-Haplogroups R were the majority (thus Ephraim was most likely in the majority… in my view). yHg Q, N, I, and J were very likely in the mix also.

2.) The Rothchilds likely have more Judah/Jew-dah in their genetic ancestry than Ephraimite, but they are certainly mixed (just like the rest of the world-wide Jewish population). Go to FamilyTreeDNA, enter “Rothschild” in the surname search tool in the upper-right corner, click on the Rothschild project (currently has 17 members) link, and then click on the “Y-DNA Results” link on the left. You’ll notice the “J2″ haplogroup as very common in the male Rothschild testees… which is also very common in most Jewish populations… as is yHg R (which actually resembles Ephraimite injections, as I alluded to before and else where).

Mayer Amschel Rothschild was born in a Jewish ghetto… and his ancestry certainly appears very Jewish… as I’m sure many of the readers here will know. And I’m sure many are also aware of  the accusation that the Jews (including the Rothschilds) descend from Khazars who “aren’t really Jewish”. Even if the Khazars were ancestors of the Ashkenazi, but were not Israelite originally, this does not mean they are “fake” necessarily. The Torah permitted non-Israelites to join the assembly and the nation if they were willing to submit to the Elohim of Israel and His Torah. Anti-Semites are largely ignorant of this reality, but still use the possibility as a means to discredit modern-day Jews. Personally, I’m curious what spirit the anti-semitic accusers are driven by.

3.) I do NOT think “Ashkenazi Jew” is synonymous with “Khazar”. The Sephardic Jewish population apparently had less Khazarian influence (although that too is debated) but yet they have many similar genetic anomalies. The presence of the Cohen Modal Haplotype (suspected priest DNA) is found in both Jewish populations, the Sephardic and Ashkenazi, not to mention the Lemba of Africa. Maybe the occurrence is linked to the tribe of Levi being scattered in all the tribes… I’m not certain… but linking the words Ashkenazi Jew to Khazar is by far too simplistic and agenda-filled (usually done by Jew-hating nazis) to really be taken seriously (in my view).

Khazaria Map from 600 until 850 Furthermore, I was just discussing with a friend about how all the tribes have had elitist / ruling classes that poorly represented their people and tribes… or maybe perfectly represented them in some cases… but nonetheless… whether or not the Rothschilds (and other tyrannical banking families) are Jewish or Ephraimite or non-Israelite or mixed… should not necessarily reflect poorly on the remnant of Jews and Ephraimites who seek to please Yah by walking in His Ways and desiring to return to His Land to serve Him. There are those who do Yah’s will and those who break His will in almost every people group (or family) on the face of the earth, correct???

Kind regards,
Hanok

P.S. If I hear of any genetic study being done on what is thought to be the ancient human remains of a Khazarian, I’ll be sure to post the news on this blog. Will keep my eyes and ears open.

Netanyahu says Ezekiel 37 already fulfilled???

See my comments near the bottom. – Hanok

PM Netanyahu’s Speech at the Ceremony Commemorating 65 Years Since the Liberation of Auschwitz where he proclaimed the fulfillment of the prophet Ezekiel’s vision of the valley of dry bones.

Quotes from speech [translated from Hebrew]:

The Jewish people rose from ashes and destruction, from a terrible pain that can never be healed.

Armed with the Jewish spirit, the justice of man, and the vision of the prophets, we sprouted new branches and grew deep roots.

Dry bones became covered with flesh, a spirit filled them, and they lived and stood on their own feet.

As Ezekiel prophesized:

“Then He said unto me: These bones are the whole House of Israel. They say, ‘Our bones are dried up, our hope is gone; we are doomed.’

Prophecy, therefore, and say to them: Thus said the Lord God: I am going to open your graves and lift you out of your graves, O My people, and bring you to the land of Israel.”

I stand here today on the ground where so many of my people perished — and I am not alone.

The State of Israel and all the Jewish people stand with me.  We bow our heads to honor your memory and lift our heads as we raise our flag-a flag of blue and white with a Star of David in its center.

And everyone sees.  And everyone hears.   And everyone knows – that our hope is not lost.

Netanyahu: Ezekiel 37 fulfilled
Chad Groening – OneNewsNow – 2/16/2010 4:00:00 AM

The leader of a Messianic Jewish ministry is pleased that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu recently proclaimed the fulfillment of the prophecy in Ezekiel, Chapter 37.

Speaking on the recent 65th anniversary of the liberation of the Nazi concentration camp at Auschwitz in Poland, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu proclaimed the fulfillment of the prophet Ezekiel’s vision of the valley of dry bones.

Netanyahu said, “Armed with the Jewish spirit, the justice of man, and the vision of the prophets, we sprouted new branches and grew deep roots. Dry bones became covered with flesh, a spirit filled them, and they lived and stood on their own feet.”

Jan Markell, founder and director of Olive Tree Ministries, comments that Netanyahu’s statement helps debunk the idea that modern Israel is just a secular country with no connection to ancient biblical prophecy.

“There is a degree of spirituality in Israel, recently with this Benjamin Netanyahu saying that Ezekiel 37 is now fulfilled,” she notes. “So I’m encouraged when the top leader in the nation of Israel comes out and stands up for the Bible. This is absolutely tremendously good news.”

Markell adds that now that Ezekiel 37 has been fulfilled, chapters 38 and 39 are expected to follow.

“The Ezekiel 38, 39 scenario – that’s the Gog and Magog invasion of Israel, where they, being Russia, Iran and some other nations, descend on her to seize her wealth,” the Olive Tree Ministries founder mentions.

She concludes that Israel wins that war, and though some scholars argue on the time frame of that event, Markell believes it takes place during the tribulation period.

My comments:

I do not want to diminish the horror and suffering Jew-dah experienced at the hands of Nazi Germany, but please forgive me if I’m reluctant or unamiable to Bibi’s speculation or application of Ezekiel 37. He is misapplying what happened to Jew-dah during the Jewish Holocaust to Ezekiel 37 when he should be connecting it (the holocaust) and the re-birth of the Jewish nation to Zechariah 12:7 and Zephaniah 2:7 …where Jew-dah is the primary focus and prophetic recipient… and even called by name (i.e., Judah/Yehudah).

The prophecy of the dead “dry bones” in the first half of Ezekiel 37 is a prophecy regarding the awakening of the Northern Kingdom of Israel, or the Lost Ten Tribes (having very little to do with Judah or the Jews). Their mention of being “cut-off” is an allusion to the way the Prophet Hosea depicted 10-Israel when they “ceased to be a people”. For the last 2700 years, 10-Israel has been little more than the whispering of ghost stories, legend, and myth (which has continued until recent years).  So before the second half of Ezekiel 37 can be fulfilled (the “two sticks prophecy”), 10-Israel must first become a people again (i.e., “put on flesh”). In other words, a non-people (or a non-stick) can not be joined to the Jewish people, (the Stick of Jew-dah), this is why the “valley of dry bones” occurs before the joining of the two sticks.

For example, when Joseph was a slave in Egypt, he was dead in the mind of his father and brothers. In many ways, he was even dead to himself, looking like an Egyptian and eventually ruling over all Egypt. There is a very similar parallel manifesting in the world today… in regards to the  hidden identity of Joseph/Ephraim (a wide-spread, largely leaderless remnant of Ephraimites are repenting, desiring Torah, and desiring to become “Yah’s people” again, just as Hosea predicted).

Furthermore, Ezekiel is told that the “dry bones” depicts the “whole house of Israel”. Jew-dah did recover from a great atrocity and they are Israelites, but they (in that event) did not represent the “whole house of Israel” (read Ezekiel 37:11, but read the entire passage in conjunction with the entire book of Hosea). The house of Israel and the house of Judah were and are two separate bodies of people.

Indeed, Ezekiel 37 foretells many things. Here are several items that have NOT happened YET:

I realize the Christian and Jewish world is antsy about having the Gog/Magog war happen sooner rather than later, but there are several things that must happen before we can move along to Ezekiel 38 and 39.

Be ever watchful for the signs He promised. But also be careful to discern the counterfeit signs the-Adversary may attempt to use to bring confusion (even destruction).

AUDIO: Can DNA Researchers Identify the Lost 10 Tribes? (Yaakov Kleiman)

Source: A7 Radio’s “The Tovia Singer Show” with Tovia Singer
2/4/2010 2:02:00 PM

Did the Twelve Tribes of Israel really exist? Are the scattered groups of modern Jews really the direct descendants of the ancient Hebrews of the Bible? Rabbi Yaakov Kleiman, author of DNA & the Bible: The Genetic Link.

In this radio interview, author Yaakov Kleiman talks about:

Hanok’s comments:

In my view (although I enjoyed most of the interview), this is just more stumbling over the breadcrumbs and missing the whole loaf. Or the classic, “can’t see the forest for the trees” phenomenon.

Once… just once… I wish we could hear a reasonable discussion about the mathematics of human population growth in association with the genetic evidence (see my article: Exponential Human Population Growth).

Basically, this interview is more proof that Jew-dah is still largely blind to Ephraim’s enormous and overwhelming genetic presence in many well-known populations around the world, not just the Pathan/Pashtun people in and around Afghanistan (who by the way largely have a shared common ancestor with most Indo-Europeans, i.e. y-Hg R).

Kleiman indicates our genetic mutations happen at a “known” period of time in order to estimate how many generations there are between two individuals and a common ancestor, which is the general premise behind the Cohen Modal Haplotype (the Levite priestly gene). This “known” period of time is largely given to us by scientists who are wholly sold out to the primary axiom of Darwinian thought and they are constantly under-estimating how quickly our DNA has been mutating… and thus we are given extremely inflated haplogroup origination time-frames.

Kleiman discredits the Lemba from being Jewish because they have married so many non-Jewish women. Being a Jewish Rabbi, he of course is using Jewish Halakha to trump the plain Written Torah precedents where the male line has most always been the definitive question… not just within the Levitical clans. Furthermore, Moses himself married a dark-skinned Cushite (black) woman who was NOT “Jewish”. Judah, himself, married a non-Jewish woman. Joseph married a non-Hebrew woman. Discrediting the Lemba based upon Jewish Halakha is a disgrace in my view… but I’m not a “great one”… so who cares what I think.

Please forgive my sarcasm. My Karaite tendencies spontaneously erupt when confronted with man-made religious systems.

Note: Tovia Singer is a renown anti-missionary (in the sense that he actively confronts Christian missionaries). I do not support him in those efforts. Personally, I would rather he just be a Light and teach Torah to Christians (who are largely of Ephraimite origin) which he does do… although somewhat indirectly I suppose.

VIDEO: British news man used DNA to find out he has Jewish Ancestors

Five’s Jonathan Samuels traces his family with the help of DNA and finds some unexpected surprises… making family connections that stretch across three continents… and one leading back to Israel.

FamilyTreeDNA has the largest database of Jewish individuals, which is largely why they can more easily identify and connect testees with the Jewish population and of course other ethnic groupings, such as Native Americans.

What is missing in all the 2012 Doomsday hysteria? Is there a Divine Causation?

Earth on fire2012 could “possibly” be connected to the Great and Terrible Day of Yah’s wrath… so frequently alluded to in Scripture, but I’m not absolutely compelled by the evidence yet. It could simply be a false-flag, callusing type event used by the Adversary… or it could be the real deal. Needless to say, even in my watchfulness, I’m embracing a healthy amount of skepticism… and I think you should too.

No doubt, we will ALL be more convinced of 2012’s significance or irrelevance as the next couple years roll on… for most all commentaries indicate there will be a rapid crescendo of events as December 21, 2012 draws near (not to mention all the prerequisite prophecies preceding the Day of Wrath, such as the Altar sacrifices being reinstated and ended by the Beast).

So IF 2012 is the real deal… and it is the prophesied time where “scarcely any flesh survives”… then what will really be the cause of the calamity and unimaginable loss of human life? Is the cause just some cyclical, meaningless, unfortunate phenomenon… naturally occurring in our galaxy and effecting our solar system? Or will the event be designed and instigated by some Intelligent causation (i.e., Yah judging mankind for mans’ filth and bloodshed)?

Over the last couple years as I’ve watched and listened to various “experts” on the 2012 Doomsday subject, I’ve noticed that there is almost always a general lack in discussion as to “the Divine why” it may happen. It seems the Designer of the Universe is generally left out of the realm of plausibility. The recent movie 2012 briefly touched upon the judgment aspect of the globally feared doomsday, but it largely only paints the watchmen-types as quacks, weirdos, and homeless people.

Brooks Agnew, Michael Tsarion, Brent Miller, Cliff High, Paul LaViolette, Patrick Geryl, and many others speak about what they think are cyclical cataclysmic events that have hit the earth in the past… and will strike the earth again. They all have their viewpoints (with varying degrees of scientific evidence) on the precise “how” it will happen, but I can scarcely remember any of them ever mentioning a Divinely-oriented “why”.

An example:

Have the calamities on the Earth occurred in some whimsical non-divine non-benevolent predictable repetition, as the “experts” would like you to believe? Or has their always been a Right and Just cause for the calamities? If the Creator set the Universe, galaxies, and planets into place (and He did: the design is too perfect and complex to have occurred by Darwinian chance), would it be much effort for Him to disrupt the rotation of the Earth or cause it to wobble like a drunkard?

Conversely, if the inhabitants of the Earth listened to and followed the prescribed Ways of the Creator, could He not just as easily protect the Earth from external extinction-type events?

VIDEO: The Privileged Planet (full documentary)

There is an opinion, common among scientists and intellectuals, that our Earthly existence is not only rather ordinary, but in fact, insignificant and purposeless. The late astronomer Carl Sagan typifies this view in his book ‘Pale Blue Dot’:Because of the reflection of sunlight the Earth seems to be sitting in a beam of light, as if there were some special significance to this small world. But it’s just an accident of geometry and optics.

Our posturings, our imagined self-importance, the delusion that we have some privileged position in the Universe, are challenged by this point of pale light. Our planet is a lonely speck in the great enveloping cosmic dark. In our obscurity, in all this vastness, there is no hint that help will come from elsewhere to save us from ourselves.

But perhaps this melancholy assumption, despite its heroic pretense, is mistaken. Perhaps the unprecedented scientific knowledge acquired in the last century, enabled by equally unprecedented technological achievements, should, when properly interpreted, contribute to a deeper appreciation of our place in the cosmos.

In this 60-minute video documentary we will explore a striking feature of the natural world. A feature as widely grounded in the evidence of nature as it is wide-ranging in its implications: the conditions that allow for intelligent life on Earth also make it strangely well suited for viewing and analyzing the universe.

The fact that our atmosphere is clear; that our moon is just the right size and distance from Earth, and that its gravity stabilizes the Earth’s rotation; that our position in our galaxy is just so; that our sun is its precise mass and composition: all of these factors (and many more), are not only necessary for Earth’s habitability; they also have been surprisingly crucial for scientists to measure and make discoveries about the universe.

Mankind is unusually well positioned to decipher the cosmos. To put it more technically, ‘measurability’ seems to correlate with habitability. But is this correlation between the existence of complex life and our ability to make scientific discoveries simply a coincidence or the result of blind chance? Or does it point to a deeper explanation? The Privileged Planet will examine these questions in a remarkable search for evidence of design and purpose within the universe.
