He is the first "Christian" I've heard express a similar perspective to my own... and it seems he also understands the Two-House reality. Suspecting he was discipled by Herbert W. Armstrong in some fashion.

Model Altar of Unhewn Stones Completed at Temple Institute
(IsraelNN.com) The Temple Institute in Jerusalem announced Friday the completion of a model of the biblical altar which G-d, through Moses, commanded the nation of Israel to build at the Mount of Eval (Ebal) overlooking Shechem:
“And there you shall build an altar unto Hashem your God, an altar of stones: you shall lift up no iron tool upon them. You shall build the altar of Hashem your G-d of unhewn stones.” (Dvarim / Deuteronomy 27:5,6).

Regardless of the non-family around you, you most certainly have family who are depending on you to be alive and full of joy... so seek to understand what is victimizing you... and stop the cause at the source.

Merry Christmas from Israel? The Persians are coming!
Today I received an email from Mike Evans and "the Jerusalem Prayer Team" with the subject of "Merry Christmas from Israel".
My first thought was.... "now, that is a bizarre subject heading". Then on second thought... "what an unwitting, ignorant insult to the Jewish people... and more importantly... an insult to the El of Abraham, Isaak, and Jacob ".
The message goes...
I am writing you this Christmas message from Israel. I flew here to declare a word from the Lord—a word to warn the nations and call them to a Second Chronicles 7:14 season of fasting and prayer. There is no doubt that 2010 will be a year of unspeakable living hell for the Jewish people if God’s people do not stand in the gap NOW.
Iran could fire over 40,000 missiles at Israel from its proxies Hezzbolah and Hamas. It could also go to war against Israel and fire its Russian and North Korean missiles at the cities of Israel. In addition, Iran will send suicide bombers by the thousands to kill Jews, not just in Israel but in every country where they can be found worldwide.
So Mike declares a word from "the Lord"... dressing it up in a not-so-holy-day derived from sun-worshipping baby-sacrificing pagans... and beseeches us to humble ourselves and to pray (referencing II Chronicles 7:14)... and according to him, we also need to "warn the nations".... for the Persians are coming!!
Now wait... who exactly is raising up the Persians as a modern threat to the Jewish nation and a threat to a multitude of other nations? That is something I'm asking myself.
I do wonder if Mike has actually read Jeremiah 10 or 17, but of course, celebrating Christmas is not the primary reason that judgment is coming. Christmas and its antiquitous pagan-roots are but a small resemblance of how clueless and profane much of the so-called "people of God" have become (both Christians and Jews).
Fasting and praying is not going to delay judgment if we're not also willing to TURN and change... and stop mixing our lives with things that anger Yah. What about the rest of II Chronicles 7 that is so difficult to understand? Our ancestors performed mixed worship... with strange fire... and now we continue to do it.
The people of Yah (both Jew-dah and 10-Israel nations) must humble ourselves and return to Him... and then He will fight on our behalf... INSTEAD of instigating and empowering our enemies (i.e., Iran, Islam, Arabs, neo-nazis, tyrannical governments and bankers, etc) as punishment against us.
From Assyria, Babylonia, Rome, to Germany, Yah has raised up enemies against Judah and Israel to judge them when they refused to walk according to His Word. The modern nation of Iran is not Judah's or the Wests' greatest threat. Judah's greatest threat is Judah. The Wests' greatest threat is the West. We serve ourselves. We serve secular humanism. We serve our religious tyrants and their traditions... but rarely do we serve Yah and truly seek to know His path. Instead, we subjugate ourselves to political and cultural correctness at every turn. We bow down to our Christmas trees, color our Ishtar eggs, care little for the widows and orphans, and abort our unborn children by the hundreds of thousands for the sake of population control, convenience, and material gain.
Yeah... Mike, praying and fasting is not going to keep the Persians at bay. BUT, praying and fasting and TURNING will keep Yah at bay... and He is the One we need to be most concerned with.
And torching your pagan nimrod tree will be a fantastic place to start.

All of those Christian Zionist types out there... who basically worship the current State of Israel... will likely not be impressed by Melech Ben Ya'aqov, but I truly sense the righteous anger of Y'hovah coming forth from this man. It may not be a "thus saith Y'hovah", but it is certainly a call for Torah repentance... that modern Israelis (i.e., Jews) and 10-Israelites (currently represented by a multitude of nations) need to heed.
Melech Ben Ya'aqov ... completely and utterly rejects the current State of Israel, with its leadership of fools and criminals, its population of bitter, stubborn people who love to yell, shout and take advantage of each other whenever possible. I pray every day for the complete dissolution of this false State of Israel and all its national symbols (flag, IDF, etc.), and its replacement with an entirely new state, loyal to our ancient ways. Until then, I shall not step foot within its filthy borders.
Note(#1): Melech is NOT calling for a holocaust like President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad frequently conjures.... but instead... he is calling for true repentance of Israeli Jews... which would truly have political revolution as a ramification in the Land today. For some reason, I'm not holding my breadth... but not refusing to hope.
Note(#2): Melech is a Karaite Jew who lived in Israel for a considerable time and knows that which he speaks.
Reasons NOT to celebrate Christmas
- Because of the many pagan origins. "Jesus" was never "the reason for the season" and there is NO scriptural connection between the December 25th Christ-mass and the Hebrew Messiah, the BRANCH of David. There is much better evidence that Yehoshua was born during the Chag of Sukkot (Tabernacles), not during a Winter Solstice. See the study: Biblical Dates for Messiah's Conception and Birth.
- Because all of its modern religious validity is rooted in Roman Catholicism. If you're a Roman Catholic, maybe you should celebrate the "mass of Christ". If you're a Christian who only prescribes to Biblical Judeo-Christian principles, then maybe you should rethink WHY you're so wrapped up in this not-so-holyday. Why are you unwittingly submitting to the masters at the Vatican? Many Christians have historically refused to celebrate Christmas precisely because they only wanted to submit to Messiah.
- Because Christmas is harmful to Children! See this great study on the subject.
- Because Christmas is harmful to your wallet! You'll have more resources for other more noble giving.
- Because it is primarily driven by secular-humanist greed which has flourished within the bounds of the West's mutant form of capitalism now subjugated to the tyranny of corporatism and SPEND-SPEND-SPEND consumerism... which has greatly contributed to the economic indebtedness and enslavement of Christian nations in the West.
- Because the Zeitgeist and similar movements discredit Christ on the basis that "Jesus" was simply re-fabricated out of older bizarrely similar deities (and thus "Jesus" probably didn't even exist). Regardless of chicken-or-egg arguments where "who came first" issues are discussed... the reality is that the Hebrew Messiah looked very different than the modern Catholic-pagan version... which appears to have hijacked the worship of Attis, Osiris, Horus, and Mithras (and related Christmas-like winter-solstice worship festivals). Why did Rome need to make Yehoshua look pagan and non-Hebrew? Why do you need to look like a pagan?
